"Great tour"
We got lucky the driver from Riga to Vilnius was the same as the driver from Tallin to Riga. Again, Mattis, our driver was excellent in his knowledge regarding history, regarding the Baltic states, we enjoyed our time and enjoyed the three stops along the way. Thank you for providing a great experience
"Good way to see more on your way to Vilnius "
Laura has so much energy and passion for what she does. We had enough time to see the places we visited and Laura gave us good information about the sites and historic events. We had a great time.
"Absolutely great way to see the Baltic countryside"
The tour was a perfect way to see more of Latvia and Lithuania than we otherwise would have from a bus, which was the other option to travel between the two cities. Laura was a terrific guide, extremely knowledgeable about the two countries and about the sites along the route. And a vibrant personality. She had the five of us comfortable as a group within fifteen minutes of leaving the meeting place. The van was comfortable, and the chosen sightseeing stops were varied and interesting, and perfect for breaks.
"Laura was a ray of sunshine on a lovely tour"
We really enjoyed our tour to Vilnius guided by the excellent Laura. We learnt a lot about the places we visited. The choice of restaurant was also good. Laura’s relaxed style, enthusiasm (for Lithuania) and knowledge added much to the day.
"Exceptional "
Very good tour to get to know both countries and their history. Laura was an amazing guide professional as well as entertaining.
"Entusiastic "
Varying, interesting, educating tour With an exiting guide. She was brilliant!
"Another great trip"
Our second trip with Laura and it was again excellent. Would highly recommend this to anyone travelling from Riga to Vilnius.
"Amazing experience! "
Our guide was amazing! We learnt so much about the countries we were visiting and had a lot of fun.
"Laura is so good 👍👍👍"
Laura with full of energy and knowledge to drive and tour us from Riga to Vilnius. She gives excellent information about all the 4 places and takes us to a very good restaurant for lunch. No time is wasted, she would pre order all our lunch before we arrive to the restaurant. I would highly recommend taking Laura's tour to travel from Riga to Vilnius or Vilnius to Riga. Thanks Laura 😄🙂😄😄
"Comfortable and fun"
I really like this idea of sightseeing from one place to another. I have travelled the world and been from country to country. I think it is clever and great to have this option rather than just taking a bus from one place to another. I was able to see a lot of sites that I wouldn’t have been able to go to due to time constraints. Ruta was knowledgeable and friendly. The van was comfortable as there were only 6 of us rather than 8. The restaurant we stopped at served delicious food with reasonable prices. The sites we stopped at were relevant and we had enough time considering it was just a day tour. Definitely recommend this tour!
"Fantastic day!"
While it was a long day, it was totally worth it. Our guide Ruta was lovely, she was smiling, approachable, knowledgeable and always helpful. Ruta drove really well all day and nothing was too much trouble. She gave us great information and it shared lots of insight.
"Excellent tour"
All of us, 16 people in two vans, enjoyed the tour, especially for the additional information we got from our guide. Unfortunately the van had a technical problem and traveled at quite low speed. Daumants is a very good guide and driver.
"Perfect solution! "
Our guide Laura made the trip unforgettable! Knowledgeable and attentive, her enthusiasm was contagious. Her love for her country made us fall in love too. Thank you Laura!
"Satisfactory exp"
Amiable guide, introducing important facts of Latvia and Lithuania, good driving skills
"Must do tour see Latvia and Lithuania"
Excellent tour.
"Must do tour see Latvia and Lithuania"
Ms. Laura - our tour guide made this the best tour we have taken. She was very energetic, provided so much info and made the tour very lively. Enjoyed all the stops and the entire tour.
"Must do tour see Latvia and Lithuania"
Ms. Laura - our tour guide made this the best tour we have taken. She was very energetic, provided so much info and made the tour very lively. Enjoyed all the stops and the entire tour.
"great trip!"
Laura was a great guide, got us from Riga to Vilnius with stops along the way and lots of inside information on Lithuania I would not have picked up on my own.
"A fantastic way to travel from Riga to Vilnius!"
This was a great way to travel from Riga to Vilnius! In addition to seeing sights (the official stops described in the tour description as well as beautiful countryside between the two cities) and learning some history of the countries and cities, we were able to get a sense of current culture and life in Latvia and Lithuania through our guide, Laura. Laura was enthusiastic, entertaining, and very knowledgeable. She also gave us great suggestions for places to go, things to do, and what to eat during the rest of our time in Vilnius. We highly recommend this tour.
"The best way to go from Riga to Vilnius"
The tour was really good and Laura was one of the best guides I have ever had. She is very energetic and enthusiastic about her job and she is always willing to share all the information with the group. I think we spent the right amount of time in all the stops.
"Riga to vilnius sightseeing "
I had wonderful experience and our tour guide Laura was amazing. She provided all specific details and related history of the places during the sight visit. It is worth the money.
"best way to get from Riga to Vilnius"
The driver and tour guide, Laura, had amazing knowledge, a good sense of humour and perfect organisational skills. She brought cohesion and fun to the trip. It was perfect to see the hill of crosses and Rundale palace on the journey and it would have been difficult to see those sites from either capital city.
"So much good energy!! "
This tour was the highlight of my Baltic trip! This tour is an amazing way to explore the countryside + the history of the places that we visit. Without doubt, this is one of the best ways to travel throughout the Baltics! If you are lucky enough , you are going to get the one and only Laura! As your guide! She is amazing, energetic, knowledgeable and really good with people! She conducts herself with such a professionalism but at the same time she is so funny and approachable! I do highly, truly, and utterly recommend this tour
"A wonderful period during my Baltic trip"
With this ride and Laura's guide, we had a chance to know more about Latvija and Letuva. Wonderful experience, highly recomended.
"Brilliant tour with first-rate tour guide "
We have been in Kaunas, Rondel Palace… we were so encouraged by the spectacular commentary on the attractions, that we found that location was being so critical to the history of Lithuania and Latvia, In Laura’s guiding, we had seen the personalities and historical context of Lithuania. We cannot forget how spectacular and devoted the guiding were. We are glad to joined the tour
"A must do!"
The driver and guide did an excellent job explaining sites, travel, history, and was quite proud and enthusiastic of her country. Thank you Laura for a wonderful experience. The food and restaurant selection were perfect as well at site visits.
"An enthusiastic guide showed us amazing sights"
This was a wonderful way to see the sights of Latvia and Lithuania. Even more important was getting to know a lifetime Lithuanian. Laura has an enormous amount of energy, humor, and goodwill. A great day.
"Lithuania trip"
Knowledgeable guide. Allowed us to walk at own pace and set reasonable times for visits to each site.
"Great way to go from Riga to Vilnius"
The perfect way to go from Riga to Vilnius. We got to see the country-side and had several very interesting stops. Our guide, Laura, was fabulous: energetic, very knowledgeable and so much fun. Highly recommended
"Riga to Vilnius in a sight filled day"
Laura was an amazing guide for the day. Friendly and welcoming, you could not ask for anyone better :D
"most valuable"
My van is good. The staff is kind and professinal. Lunch is delicious and not expensive. The programe is sufficient. Usually one day tour from Riga to Rundale palace is 60-80€ and one day tour from Vilnius to hill of crosses is about 50-60euro. So it is a most valueable way to transfer from Riga to Vilnius.
"Best way to spend a day between Riga and Vilnius!"
I needed to travel from Riga to Vilnius, but instead of just taking the bus, I decided to take this tour. Laura did not disappoint, with her enthusiastic description of sites and the related historic background. I left with memories of a great trip, new friends, and a deeper understanding of the Baltic region and its people!
"Amazing journey"
This was a lovely journey. In just one day we saw several sites, some of them very hard to reach by public transport. Our guide Laura was great, very knowledgeable, very enthusiastic, she made this journey unforgettable. She is a great driver, fantastic organizer a lovely person.Everything ticked like a clock and we saw all the sites and made it to Vilnius on time
"Amazing tour!"
First time doing a tour like this and didn’t know what to expect. Well, it was super nice and I will definitely do that again! Our guide Laura had a super good vibe, really enthusiastic and smiling and she had answers to all our questions. The timing for every stop was good. I’ll definitely recommend this tour and company to anyone visiting the Baltic! Thank you so much
"Informative and fun"
Laura was an absolute delight as our driver and guide for the day. She is fun, knowledgeable and a careful driver. She is obviously an experienced guide and her bubbly personality made us all feel welcome and wanted.
"The best way to travel from Riga to Vilnius"
Laura is a very engaging and entertaining guide. The trip was a blast.
"Great Way to Make Your Way to Vilnius"
I would highly recommend if you want to experience some new sites outside of the cities. Laura was very energetic & the group is small enough that you get the personal touch.
"The only way to travel "
Would have liked longer at the hill of crosses but apart from that everything was 10/10. Knowledgeable guide (Laura), well worth the money. Wish we had have done the Tallinn to Riga one now too.
"Very convenience tour!"
If you have a plan to visit Riga and Vilnius, this is a must tour! During the day, you will visit many stunning places during the way to Vilnius. Our guide named Daumant. He is very nice and easy going.
"Best way to travel from Riga to Vilnius!!!"
Booking this tour was hands down the best decision for traveling from Riga to Vilnius. Our guide Laura was amazing, knowledgeable and just a lovely and funny person. She really made the 11+ hours fly by. The stops along the way were chosen well, and Laura gave us lots of background info on the individual stops but then we also had time to just explore a little. The lunch stop was very yummy and a great location and the fact that she ordered our chosen food ahead saved us time. We travelled as a family of 3 and really can't recommend this tour enough (even our teenager had a great time :)
"Great way to transit"
I can highly recommend Traveller Tours. We had a private tour from Riga to Vilnius. Our guide/driver Daumants arrived early, spoke excellent English and was delightful. He was happy to personalise the tour to our preferences and never rushed us.
"Highly recommended!"
We really enjoyed this tour! We don't drive, which made it challenging when planning a trip that would take us to all of the key places we wanted to visit in Latvia and Lithuania. This tour was perfect because it took us to many of those places while also moving us along to Vilnius, the next stop on our Baltic journey! Laura, our tour guide, was great. She is energetic and kept the tour moving along with the perfect amount of time to visit each place. If you unfortunately fell asleep in the car (jet lag, not boredom!), you didn't miss important details, as she saved the key facts for our stops to see the various sites. Laura somehow remembered everyone's names! There was a good variation in the types of sites we visited. A must see for us was the Hill of Crosses, and we were glad we saw it! We were also glad to visit the Salaspils Memorial and the Rundale Palace. It's hard to choose, but my favourite place we visited was Kaunas. We took this tour in December, so the Christmas Market there was a site to see, especially lit up at night! This was a jam-packed day, but a great way to travel between Riga and Vilnius and see unique sites along the way. We highly recommend this tour or the same tour in the other direction.
"Best trip ever!"
Our tour from Riga > Vilnius was absolutely perfect. Laura was so much fun - she was so interesting, had such great information + made the trip so lovely. We had four stops that were all EXCELLENT + we were so happy we took this tour. I highly recommend this to ANYONE who is traveling around the Baltics! The best, EVER! THANK YOU LAURA!
"This is the best way to travel between cities!"
We had a fabulous tour! Laura was an amazing guide. She shared so much knowledge, was very flexible for our family of four, and kept us laughing and happy. This was our second city-to-city tour with this company, and I would 100% recommend it as the very best way to travel between cities and see the countryside.
"Excellent way to travel between two capitals and see the sights on the way."
Everything worked well: timeliness, excellent mini bus and very helpful and knowledgeable driver/guide.
"非常棒的體驗"
Laura非常熱情充滿活力,在各個景點也都很專業的介紹歷史背景,行程時間的掌握也很好,讓我們安全到達Vilnius。
"Best way to travel from Riga to Vilnius"
Very detail explanation about the history and places we visited. Energetic guide.
"Awesome trip!"
It was a trip that brought us safely to Vilnius and along the way we saw the different places that have meant so much to the locals the memorial , the palace , Kausas the other capital of Lithuania and my favorite the hill of the crosses with a superb lunch at a cozy countryside restaurant by the lake that makes you want to stay. Our guide Daumants was very informative , easy to talk to and showed us all this beautiful places while telling us the histories and facts related to them. She also accommodated most of our requests . Thanks Daumants for an awesome road trip.
"5 stars without a doubt!"
Laura was excellent! Very friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout. Thank you!
"Enjoyable one day"
The itinerary of the tour was good and interesting. The driver/guide Laura was knowledgeable and funny that made the tour even more interesting and uplifting. Well done to Laura!
"Review for tour company and tour guide Laura"
My sister and brother and I , we booked a private van with Traveller Tour Company from Tallinn to Riga, and then from Riga to Vilnius. We were very satisfied with the itineraries for both trips, each taking us to four interesting attractions along the way, and organizing a very pleasurable lunch. I would highly recommend this tour company because I found them to be very organized and professional. I would like to give special recognition and thanks to our tour guide, Laura, who made our trip more enjoyable due to her friendliness and energy, as well as her great knowledge regarding the history of the cities and the attractions.
"Absolutely the best way to transfer!"
I can't recommend this tour enough. We were a group of 8 women traveling together, and this transfer tour made the process of moving all of us (and all of our luggage) from one city to the other not just completely painless, but also genuinely enjoyable. Turning the day into a lovely, relaxed tour where we could get out and wander and see the incredible sights along the way turned what could have been a boring transfer day into a truly memorable part of our trip. The lunch was wonderfully chosen and really a highlight as well. Most of all, our guide Laura just stole the show. She was an absolute delight, and incredibly gracious and accommodating to our big group. I can't recommend this enough!
"Perfect introduction to Lithuania with super-enthusiastic host! "
I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. Our guide was Laura (Lau-ra), who was perfect: highly knowledgeable, hugely enthusiastic, and very professional. Highlights of the tour were the Hill Of Crosses, and Salapils Memorial, with additional stops at Rundale Palace and Kaunas. Also have to mention the restaurant Laura took us too for a delicious, Lithuanian lunch. Additional charge, but great value, and super location. Perfect day trip; comfortable minibus, great locations, awesome guide, couldn’t fault it.
"Fantastic tour and highly recommend "
I highly recommend you take the tour! It is incredibly informative, fun and great way to visit sites you would have never been able to otherwise.
"Great experience with Laura!"
We had such a nice time with our guide Laura, she was super enthusiastic, gave us a lot of information, answered all our questions and gave a lot of more fun facts and interesting stories as well. It was a long but very nice day!
"The best way to travel between Riga and Vilnius! "
This is the best way to see both countries more than just the capital cities and it's the most time-efficient way. So much better than a boring bus ride if you go direct between the 2 cities. I had wanted to visit the Hill of Crosses before coming to this region, and it would have been an extra day's excursion from Vilnius if I hadn't joined this tour. It was a fantastic trip! I also had chance to visit some places that I hadn't heard of before. Laura was very friendly, enthusiastic and fun. I feel very lucky to have her as the guide. Unless you are flying or self-driving, this tour is your best option travelling between Riga and Vilnius!
"Amazing tour from Riga to Vilnius"
The guide has excellent knowledge and skills to explain very well. We spent enough time each spot. Highly recommended if you want to visit both cities.
"Excellent way to go from Riga to Vilnius"
I would highly recommend the one way Riga to Vilnius sightseeing tour. The tour gives you the opportunity of stopping off at places of interest between the 2 cities that you otherwise would not get to see. Everything was very well organized with a modern, air-conditioned minibus and excellent, enthusiastic guide.
"Amazing way to travel between Riga and Vilnius!"
The Riga-Vilnius sightseeing tour bus was a perfect way to travel between the two capitals while visiting some hard-to-reach sites in Latvia and Lithuania. The tour was the perfect balance of information offered at each site, free time for exploration, and general fun background info as we drove. Laura was SO much fun, and her upbeat personality kept us all energized for the long day. Our lunch stop was also super delicious.
"An Entertaining & Informative Journey"
Mikelis is a very friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining guide. He has an encyclopaedic grasp of the history of the places we saw en route: Salaspils Memorial, Rundala Palace, Hill of Crosses, Kaunas. Mikelis even sang Latvian songs to us! The time flew by.
"Best transfer tour ever!"
A great way to transfer from Riga to Vilnius. Laura was high energy, passionate about her country and very informative. The day flew by as we visited historical and cultural sights in Latvia and Lithuania,
"Laura is the bomb."
Laura is amazing and full of positive energy. I had a lot of fun on the 12 hour trip. Highly recommend this tour.
"Great way to get local perspectives!"
My husband and I had a wonderful time with Laura! She had great information at each place we went and was very welcoming. We definitely recommend Laura and Traveller Tours and would book with them again in the future!
"An Amazing Experience!"
Our experience with Laura was amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of both Latvia and Lithuania. We loved the drive and all the places she took us to. It was great to get the history and then she sent us off to explore on our own. Laura was energetic and engaging and so fun to be with. There was a nice balance between conversation and quiet time as we drove during the 7 hours we were together. I highly recommend this tour. It was the highlight of our time in the Baltic region.
"AWESOME TOUR! LAURA IS THE BEST!"
I had an incredible time at the tour from Riga to Vilnius! Vilnius was a huge surprise and our guide Laura was the warmest, funniest, best guide ever and she made me smile, had a good laugh and learnt a lot about the baltic countries! Thanks Laura ur the best! Loved every minute of this tour!
"Interesting tour"
Laura was punctual and full of energy as a guide... and a true Lithuanian at heart. It is a long day of distance travelling but the sites are worth visiting.. The location for lunch was absolutely beautiful and the food top class! Great trip to do in the summer with a fabulous guide like Laura who gave top recommendations at every stop (I do miss the Traki island castle not being on the itinerary though)
"Worth it!"
Fantastic guide. Very bubbly & knowledgeable. Enjoyed the trip
"surprisingly amazing"
this was my first guided tour and I was quite anxious about it, spending 12h with complete strangers was freaking me out! but Laura was amazing and eased everyone into a nice, educational and fun day trip. It all went flying buy and we all got together nicely. It was a great day to reach our destination!
"What a way to spend a day"
Fantastic trip that turned a dull coach trip into a full day of sight seeing. Loved every second of the trip and the sights throughout. Laura was an amazing guide and kept the energy up and the tunes pumping!
"Fantastic day and transfer "
What a great way to transfer between countries! Laura was out brilliant tour guide for the day, she is very knowledgeable, very funny and extremely friendly. The mini van is comfortable and lots of room for luggage. The stops along the way break up the day and gives you time to wonder around for photos. Would certainly recommend this as a great way to travel between countries!
"ardievu Riga 🇱🇻, labas Vilnius 🇱🇹"
A great experience and fun way to travel between these locations whilst seeing attractions on the way and learning about the history and culture of the Baltic twins. Laura was a friendly and enthusiastic tour guide and very proud of her Latvian 🇱🇻homeland.
"A Tour, which I strongly recommend!"
A very interesting tour, with a magnificient guide (Laura)! All the more so considering that it provides best value for money!
"Great tour from Riga to Vilnius"
Tour guide was very enthusiastic and fun. Stopped at interesting places, we had enough free time at each stop. Laura gave us a quick over view/history about each of the places we visited. Only 4 people on the tour so nice small group.
"Comfortable, interesting and packed day… so worth it"
Mike was punctual, very prudent and knowledgeable and our trip from Riga to Vilnius was so smooth. The price was not cheap but all worth it. Worth every cent. Highly recommended.
"Beautiful Palace and Amazing Hill of Crosses "
We were delighted to see Mike at the Riga meeting point since he had recently escorted us from Tallinn to Riga. Mike has a good singing voice and is spontaneous with his stories. Like any good story teller, he does not let you know at the beginning that he is going into story mode. The weather cooperated with our journey. Although Mike did not have to deliver us our hotel, he surprised us again by doing just that. It is a wonderful way to enjoy sights while enjoying the weather, Mike's stories, and seeing interesting sights along the way. What a nice combination to create a terrific travel memory.
"Great tour with Laura!"
Loved my sightseeing trip from Riga to Vilnius with Laura. The van was comfortable and Laura was a great Guide, full of energy with lots of information! The stops on the way were interesting and it was nice to be able to visit places that are a little difficult to get to if you don't have your own transport and are short on time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your sightseeing tour to fellow travellers.
"The absolute best way to travel from city to city"
Our guide Laura was very welcoming, knowledgeable and successful in making us excited to visit Lithuania for the first time. The day tour was great value for money in my opinion much better than just catching a coach. We saw interesting stops between Riga + Vilnius that we would have totally missed otherwise. It was a small bus so you were never waiting around for other people. The lunch stop was good, no complaints. Ps traveller tours are really good to deal with, any issues that arise their team are really responsive and professional.
"Excellent trip and guide"
Brilliant way to see more out-of-the-way places between Riga and Latvia. Laura had endless enthusiasm for her country, and was so helpful. Trip ran on time and comfortable air-conditioned minibus. It's a long day but a fantastic trip, and the only way you're going to see Salaspils, Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses and Kaunas in one day! Thank you very much - can't recommend enough!
"Lively and fun "
Laura is lively, knowledgeable, and full of energy guide. With her engaging story telling style, she made our 12 hours long tour went by so fast. I woukd strongly recommend her to others.
"Soooo Much Energy :)"
This was a great way to see a little of both Latvia and Lithuania other than the cities, and was made even better by Laura, who had more energy for 12 hours straight than you could possibly imagine. This was my second tour and there were four of us who previously took the Tallinn-Riga bus two days earlier. The only downside is that the lunch restaurant ran out of beer, which I think may have been a capital offense in Lithuania, although the venison sausages were delicious.
"A great option"
I was a little nervous about booking this option for traveling from Riga to Vilnius. I was a solo traveler in my sixties who doesn’t like tours. I shouldn’t have been nervous at all. It was a wonderful way to make the trip, and to see a few things in between. Our guide, Laura, was just delightful — giving us the background of every site we stopped at and, of course, telling us why her hometown of Vilnius was the most wonderful place in the world. The places we stopped — the Salaspils Memorial, Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses, and Kaunas — were varied and interesting. Sufficient time was allotted at each, and we arrived in Vilnius around 8PM, which at least in my mind was perfect. I recommend this.
"Brighten your day and visit a new city"
Great option for travelling from Riga to Vilnius. Interesting stops and a very entertaining guide/host (Laura). Recommended for singles and couples.
"Fun and Fab"
I highly recommend this sightseeing tour. My family really enjoyed getting out of the capitals to see the countryside and other places unique to the two countries. Laura is an excellent tour guide, energetic and knowledgeable, full of passion about Lithuania and the Baltics.
"Lovely Lithuanian Laura"
Our guide Laura was simply wonderful. Warm and engaging, informative and knowledgeable and highly entertaining. The stops on the way were fascinating. I would highly recommend this as a means of getting from one Baltic city to the other
"A great way to get from Riga to Vilnius "
We loved our tour - led by the enthusiastic and warm Laura. We had 6 passengers in total - four of us (2 kids) and 2 others, so it was nice and small and never felt like a tour group. Laura was fantastic, and we enjoyed every minute.
"Great way to transfer"
I'm a huge fan of transfer tours, even though they are long days, you get to see and do so much! Laura our guide was lovely and flexible in terms of how/where we spent time (though I would suggest some quiet time in the van as too much music can make it hard to relax/ doze off on the road). I really appreciated the way Laura communicates history in a way that we could understand and remember - we learnt a lot! :) The hill of crosses was a surprisingly interesting stop and we got to see the roses blooming at Rundale. Thanks to our fellow traveller Shannon for the excellent company!
"Captivating atmosphere"
First of all: even if the weather is harsh, don't hesitate to take part in this tour! The guide was funny and knowledgeable, and definitely contributed to make this trip even more pleasant. It's been raining with high wind for most of the day, but, honestly, this made even more interesting the experience at Salaspils and the Hill of Crosses. Of course, if you want to fully enjoy the Rundāle Palace Garden with all of its flowers, it is better to book the tour for a sunny day in May or June. St Peter and St Paul Cathedral in Kaunas is literally a piece of jewelry. All highly recommended!
"Must do if traveling between Baltic capitals!"
Laura our guide was absolutely fantastic. This is a must do if you're travelling between the Baltic capitals. Let's you see sights that you would need a rental car to see and turns a mundane bus trip into a great day of sight seeing. Riga to Vilnius was great, highlights were the rose garden at the Baltic version of versailles. Also had a fabulous lunch at a deer farm Audruvis. Restoranas. The venison carpaccio and beet soup were spot on.
"Superb way to transfer from Riga to Vilnius"
This was such a good trip, I can't recommend it highly enough. Mike's commentary, sharing his knowledge and personal insights really made this trip one of the highlights of our holiday in the Baltics. The sites we visited were very well selected, giving us the opportunity to learn about some important aspects of Latvian and Lithuanian culture and history.
"Great Way to See the Latvian and Lithuanian Countryside"
We loved everything about the tour! Great way to see the countryside—places where we wouldn't be able to get on our own. Laura, the guide, was excellent.
"Excellent tour guide & sites"
Very interesting and well paced tour. Mike was a fantastic guide giving us all the historical and/or political background of places visited. Hill of Crosses an amazing singular place and holocaust site very moving. Loved the rose gardens at Rundale Palace and we were given tour of an old Baltic Church in Bauska by an elderly parishioner. Mike was a great guide, we loved hearing about the Singing Revolution & also the many songs he sang us in his beautiful bass voice. Highly recommend tour.

"Must See Sights from Riga to Vilnius!"
Such a fun trip from Riga to Tallinn. I’m so glad we had enough people to do the tour as I can’t imagine my Baltics trip without it. All of the stops along the way are “must see” so this is an excellent way to do a road trip but with a local guide. Laura was so energetic and fun and really exuded love for her homeland and knowledge of the history. We paid to do a quick tour inside Rundale Palace (only the gardens are included in the tour) which is good because it started pouring rain. The time allotted for Kaunas was enough to really take in the old town and see the castle. Highly recommend!
"Wonderful tour"
Our guide Laura was not only knowable and enthusiastic but kind. She was given a tour with a 70 year age span and was able to meet everyone’s needs. We enjoyed all the sights more because of her.
"Magnificently diversified"
The tour stops and choices were very educational, entertains and emotional. Mike was a great tour guide/driver. He gave us very insightful accounts on our tour stops. He was very nice, funny, well-informed and very accommodating.
"Splendid way to your and travel "
I don’t often give reviews but I have to say this was a spectacular tour and way to travel. This tour was a great value and effective way to see many different amazing things while also transporting you from Riga to Vilnius, the best possible way to travel because otherwise you would miss so much outside of the city centers! Laura, my guide, was so energetic and happy and was thrilled to share her love for her country and culture. Strongly recommend
"Fantastic"
Wonderful way to go from Riga to Vilnius. Mike (,Mikelis) was a great tour guide and spoke veery good English. Also funny and informative on the places we went to. Would definitely take this route again!!!
"Great tour from Riga to Vilnius with great guide Laura"
It was a great tour to visit several places on the way from Riga to Vilnius. Our lovely Lithuanian guide Laura was excellent and very knowledgeable! Great to have her as our guide! Our group was just 4 of us plus guide, so very relaxing and at home. Easy to be friends and raise questions on the way. Overall it was great tour, worth the cost and would like to recommend to all who travel among Baltic countries.
"Great day"
The vehicle was clean and comfortable. The guide was nice, respectful, and a good driver. The amount of time spent on each site was adequate.
"Great tour idea. Great tour guide"
The tour is perfect because it takes you from point A to point B and you experience some great sightseeing places along the way. But the best part wax the tour guide. Laura is fabulous. She is informative and fun.
"Very informative tour"
It was a well-planned and very informative tour arranged by Traveller. Laura is a very knowledgeable guide who helped us to understand the history of Latvia and Lithuania.
"Best of both countries outside capitals"
Private tour, very nice and funny guide, very nice tour, just way too cold :D not the best weather. And if you like roses and if you really want to see the roses garden, don't go in may :D if you are not interested in roses like me, you can do it whenever you want
"Great experience"
Laura was an amazing guide. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable. We travelled from Latvia to Lithuania and she gave us an amazing introduction to the country, its people, history, food, music etc. We're grateful we got to spend the day with a local and share stories about our countries. The sites we visited were interesting and enjoyable. Thank you for this experience. Highly recommended!
"Nice personal tour"
We had a personal tour on sunday 9 august 2020. our guide (Mikelis) had studied geography, i remember. We really enjoyed the tour. Visited Kaunas, hills of crosses, Salaspils Memorial, Rundāle palace and had a nice local food. Our guide could tell a lot and we could talk with him about heritage from the past, differences and similarities between countries and was really helpful. Thanks for the tour!
"Wonderful Midsummer excursion"
We had the first tour for Traveller Tours for the season due to coronavirus, and it was wonderful. Because no one else had booked we ended up with a private tour and had Ruta as our guide. She was a smart and kind guide and very patient with our 1 and 3 year olds. She was also proud to be Lithuanian and that was fun to see the Baltic pride and learn from a local. We loved the sights included in the Riga-Vilnius tour and thought the country side of both countries was stunning: lush, green, and in full bloom at this time of year. We were lucky to be ok to travel here from Helsinki and recommend seeing these underrated countries with this excellent tour.
"Great sightseeing tour"
The tour is a good option if you travel across the Baltic countries. Travellers can visit the tourist spots in the countryside while transiting from one country to another.
"Latvia to Lithuania "
Laura was an amazing host! She knew so much about both countries and was such a lovely person! Was such a better way of getting from Latvia to Lithuania rather than booking the normal coach!
"Excellent"
Great tour, excellent guide!
"Great choice to travel from one city to another"
Laura was super kind and she gave us a lot of information. The ride was very comfortable with a great selection of music :). The restaurant where we had lunch was very nice with tasty food. On sight seeing stops we had enough time to explore. I would absolutely recommend this tour.
"Fantastic Tour for Time-Pressed Travellers"
I only had that much time to experience Latvia and Lithuania, so this tour is perfect for me to see the countryside and visit out-of-the-city attractions while heading to Vilnius. Kamile was energetic from the get go, informative about the two countries, and the journey was smooth all the way. Aciu for the memorable times!
"I will recommend to anyone!"
Great, energetic, funny, enthusiastic, young, prepared tourist guide. Excellent driver and ... even singer with a good playlist! The this trip seems perfect, good schedulation between every spot in Latvia and Lithuania. I would have been liked also Trakai castle but it could be too much in a day :)
"Rīga to Vilnius "
Laura was our tour leader - she was great. Great tour would recommend as it’s difficult to get to the hill of crosses and the palace otherwise.
"Awesome trip!"
We had a great time with Kamile and it was a very good way to spend the day and commute from Riga to Vilnius. The sites we visited were all so different and interesting, and Kamile made it better with her explanation of the history and stories. Time management was good, and we had reasonable amounts of time to spend at each location. Her driving skills were excellent too!
"Excellent view of the countryside"
Beautiful places and excellent food
"Best way to go from Riga to Vilnius"
Our trip was very cool and our guide told us about Lituania with a lot of energy ! Christmas market in Kaunas was awesome.
"Great tour!"
After doing the Tallinn to Riga tour this was was equally good. Comfortable minibus with plenty of room, friendly chatty guide and interesting stops - and a great lunch stop at a deer farm, delicious food and reasonable value. Christmas tree in Kaunas was something else!
"The snow and the ride and the guide were all delightful "
Kamile was really well versed and explained every leg of the journey well. We thoroughly enjoyed the journey and also were greeted with the first snow of the season, the spot we stopped for lunch was also quite nice and we tasted local spirits and Riga balsam. The Palace in vilnius and the Christmas markets were all quite beautiful. Thank you for giving us a good time. Regards GB
"Book this tour!"
We had a lovely time exploring the places in between Riga and Vilnius. I highly recommend the tour especially if you have limited time exploring the area. Very informative and our tour guide - Daumants is very knowledgeable and pleasant.
"Definitely the way to go"
Daumants was energetic and welcoming, engaging, well informed and gave us a tremendous day. It was well paced, visited some really interesting spots and a fantastic way to get from Rigs to Vilnius. Thanks guys!
"Excellent Tour Riga to Vilnius!"
Excellent Tour! Laura was wonderful! She is very enthusiastic, personable, a great driver, and made many accomodations on the fly to keep everyone happy. She did a fabulous job. I'm so happy we took this tour and got to see so many other wonderful places that we otherwise would have missed and had a fabulous lunch as well. Thank you Laura and Riga Traveler!
"Superb trip"
Good value trip, enthusiastic guide, really interesting sights. Laura was excellent and very knowledgable
"Best way to travel between baltic countries"
Great tour, made even more special by Ruta. Saw some great places I would not have seen otherwise. An a very tasty stop for lunch.
"Great to see the countryside"
Tour was well organised and I could visit places that I wouldn’t reach by public transportation. Salaspils concentration camp was really interesting for me, a WW2 enthusiastic. Also, Hill of Crosses is something that you don’t see everyday. Tour is a interesting way to move from one Baltic capital to another and visiting places in between.
"Ruta was Great!"
We enjoyed Ruta's tour. Ruta was energetic, informative, & accommodating. Thanks for a fun day! We would suggest paying to go in the Rundale Palace Royal Rooms.
"Excellent tour"
I had a great time. The tour included some of the most significant places in Latvia and Lithuania and I really enjoyed learning about the history of the places and their importance. The tour guide provided us with enough information to appreciate all the places we visited.
"We love Ruta! "
Ruta was a fantastic driver and guide! This is Great value!
"Great way to travel to Vilnius and take in the sights"
Our guide Mike was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I totally enjoyed the tour. All places were of interest and we had enough time to experience each stop. I would particularly recommend Salaspils, it was much better than expected. Lunch was very good. We had a range of ages on the tour, overall a very enjoyable experience.
"Lot to see and a lot to do"
We enjoyed the drive and sites. The guide was very helpful. The stops helped break up the trip with many interesting things to see.
"A tour beyond expectation - a most informative day"
It was a joy to travel with my driver/guide, a fresh and knowledgeable young women. I learnt so much about the region, its history, culture, economics etc which would not have been possible by any other mode of travel. In this case it was one on one and for me very much worth it. I felt relaxed and able to ask questions at any point. The choice of highlights was spot on from the sobering Salaspils Memorial, the beautiful Runsdale palace, the Hill of Crosses to Kaunas and its charm and history. The Lithuanian countryside and its agriculture was also most interesting to me. Breaks were well timed with an enjoyable time over a meal at a deer farm and some time on my own allowing me to photograph and reflect on things seen. Kamile gave me a lot of helpful information for my time alone in Vilnius enhancing considerably my time spent there. Thank you!
"Fun and educational trip!"
Riga to Vilnuis
"A wonderful one!"
Our tour guide was Laura. She is professional from warming us up to sharing with us what we are supposed to know about the scenes and history throughout the tour. What's more, she's an excellent driver, making the travel comfortable. Concerning the tour spots, I would suggest adding another half-hour stay at Kaunas. All in all, I highly recommend this to everyone planning to travel from Riga to Vilnius.
"Money well spent"
We upgraded to the private transfer (Riga to Vilnius) as we wanted to visit some different attractions (and also spend more time at some) to those on the group departure and it was well worth the extra expense. Beatrice met us at our apartment a few minutes early in a spacious van for a brief stop at Salaspils Memorial for a very brief stop as it started to rain. Beatrice was then able to time our stops at Rundale Palace and Hill of Crosses for longer stays while the sun was out and then drive during the rain (using a weather app we assume). We also had an extended stop in Kaunas where we visited the main churches, Beatrice showed us her favourite street art and then also visited Ninth Fort before proceeding to Vilnius, where Beatrice also assisted us in communication with the apartment owner. Overall it was like travelling with a friend rather than just a guide.
"Loved it. What a great adventure"
Such a great tour. I couldn't think of a better way to explore Latvia and Lithuania. All the stop of points were of interest to the whole group and as we were on a private tour, Mike showed great flexibility in the schedule to tailor the day to us. Mike was full of enthuasiam and knowledge which added to the experience.
"Great tour by a very knowledgeable guide"
This tour is the best way to travel from Riga to Vilnuis. Ruta our driver/guide was so knowledgeable and in the nicest way she took us to places where we would have had to organise a day tour from one or the other of the cities. We and five others were taken to Salaspils, the Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace etc. We enjoyed a nice lunch and the good company of people from other parts of the world and I would highly recommend travelling with this company. This was the 2nd tour we have done with Traveller Tours and I wish they had tours going into Poland. Much better than trains.
"Baltic flavour"
This was a wonderful tour, it gives a peak in to baltic countries of Lithuania and Latvia. Tour started on time and guide was very polite enthusiastic. Time given at all locations was sufficient. Restaurant selected for lunch was very good. Drive was pleasant and our group enjoyed this trip.
"Great trip"
It's fun and interesting, also a a convenient, efficient way traveled from Riga to Vilnius. Kamile is very knowledgeable and even dropped us off at our Airbnb at the end of the tour. Highly recommend.
"Great day on the Riga - Vilnius tour with Ruta"
Really enjoyed this trip with our great guide Ruta. She made lots of effort to make the tour fun, whilst providing lots of interesting information along the way. Each stop Ruta gave us the key information and then enough time to explore by ourselves, unlike other tours when you feel like you're at each location far too long. Would highly recommend this if you are travelling between Riga and Vilnius.
"Must do!"
This was an amazing tour. The guide was wonderful and what better way to see two countries! He was very knowledgeable and gave us enough free time to explore on our own. I left my phone in the van and he went out of his way to contact me that evening to make sure I get my phone back.
"Awesome trip"
Ruta was a great guide and told us about the history and the relevance of the app the places. She is very knowledgeable
"excellent"
a convenient way to move from Riga to Vilniaus with fun and rich places.
"Get tour with a great guide!"
Laura was so much fun and made the tour extra wonderful. She loves her country and was very happy to share its history with us! It was a really nice day.
"Enthusiastic, Exciting, Enjoyable"
Fantastic way to travel from Riga to Vilnius, stopped off at some great places along the way! Enthusiastic tour guide kept it all interesting the whole time, lots of energy. Highly recommend anyone travelling between the two cities to try this, you get to see so much more than just capitals. Bring a good camera and energy and it'll be even better.
"Totally Terrific Tour"
Found this company and tour on line and it sounded really good so booked! Everything was just as described and ran like clockwork but without any hassle or rushing, a great day in a wonderful holiday in Riga and Vilnius. Kamile was bright, cheerful, very knowledgeable, and a good driver. The places we visited were varied and all interesting in different ways. Kamile provided just the right amount of information and we had time to explore on our own. A bonus was meeting all the others in our group, all different ages, nationalities and backgrounds. We will remember them, Kamile and our tour for a long time to come. Highly recommend this company.
"Great trip"
Great trip, good itinerary. Guide was knowledgeable and personable and included personal experiences as well. Flexible and nice break for lunch. Perfect way to move easily between Riga and Vilnius.
"The tour is 👍 great"
Thanks for your detailed introduction of all sights, we enjoyed our trip very much. We are all independent countries!
"Excellent Tour!!"
Took the tour from Riga to Vilnius. Stops included: Salaspils Memorial, Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses and Kaunas. Along the way there was a stop for lunch (pay for yourself). Overall the tour was extremely well done, there was ample opportunity to explore at each location with the guide providing some history and information at each stop. Our guide was also top-notch and was able to not only give a great rundown of the history for each location but was also able to add some personal anecdotes. Would highly recommend as a way to get between cities while being able to see some of the countryside.
"Fun and interesting"
We really enjoyed our recent trip. The palace and hill of crosses were fantastic and so interesting to hear the history of the two countries
"Great idea for travelling between Baltic capitals"
my one hesitation was the video with young backpackers running around looking like extras from the Sound of Music. In the end the eight people on the tour were of all ages.
"The best way to get from Riga to Vilnius! "
My boyfriend and I had a blast on this tour! Our guide Kamile was very friendly and knowledgeable. All four of the sights we visited were incredible and we had enough time to experience each place without feeling rushed. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting The Baltics!
"Excellent day from Riga to Vilnius!"
It was a great day driving with Ruta. She was a excellent guide as she shared all her knowledge and passion for Lithuania. I have a Lithuanian background but I learned so much from her. We could tell she spent countless hours learning the history of the Baltics. The spots we stopped along the way were breathtaking and some solemn but that is due to the history of the Baltics. I felt we had enough time at each stop. The lunch was amazing with the choice of venison entrees. It was old school Lithuanian home cooking...The tour was absolutely worth the price and more. Ačiū!!!
"A Perfect Day"
Rita was absolutely wonderful!! From the meeting point on throughout the day, she was engaged and offering historical information to us. It was a varied group and she keep us all interested and focused. I would highly recommend her and this tour!!
"Historic journey with a great group of travellers"
We gathered in Riga and met our fellow travellers from all over the world, and Ruta our driver and guide. First stop was Salaspils prison camp to hear the beating heart monument and see the enormous statues, then Rundale to see the gardens. We enjoyed lunch at a restaurant followed by a visit to the astonishing Hill of Crosses. We stopped at Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania, before arriving in Vilnius in the evening. Ruta was informative and entertaining, telling us lots about the history of the places we visited, and joining in the jokes and banter in the mini-bus. Well worth taking the time to travel on this tour. Can highly recommend this trip.
"When the touring and travel meet."
This tour is a great way to see Latvia and Lithuania attraction while getting from Riga to Vilnius. It would've taken us 4 separate trips from Riga and Vilnius to see all of the attractions we have covered in one day. Our guide Kamile was very informative, upbeat and also had a good balance of quiet and tour time. Our 16 yo son was engaged and it is hard to please them at that age. I would also give huge praise to Kamille for being super helpful when we couldn't get into our hotel since we arrived late. When I couldn't reach hotel mgmt, I panicked and call the only person I knew in Vilnius at that time. Kamille was happy to help and went on looking into other available hotels even if that was not part of her job.
"Makes transit travel interesting and enjoyable"
Rather than taking the normal bus between Riga and Vilnius we decided to take this tour. Very happy with our decision. Laura was a great host with infectitious personality. Knowledgeable and provided insight into history of both countries. Visits to locations that we would not have seen. Hill of Crosses was highlight. Recommend.

"Amazing Tour! "
After we had already been on the tour from Tallinn to Riga we knew a little bit what to expect. But also this tour exceeded our expectations by far. Our great tour guide made our trip awesome with her open nature, her enthusiasm and of course her knowledge and driving skills. Together with the other really nice passengers, we visited a piece of France in the Baltic States, saw an impressive war memorial, another town and admired the Hill of Crosses. The traditional food was also a real highlight for us. We would (and will) recommend this tour to everybody. Thank you very much for this great day!
"Awesome tour!!! "
This was a great tour - it gave us the opportunity to see places along the way between Riga and Vilnius that we wouldn't otherwise have seen since we were short on time.... the bus was comfortable and since the group was small it was a really enjoyable trip without the 'big group' feeling!
"Best way to travel to Vilnius "
Choosing this as an option to travel from riga to Vilnius was awesome. Comfortable small mini bus with many sight seeing stops along the way. Lunch at the restaurant we stopped at was very good. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant to be around. Even though it was raining, we had a great time and saw many sights we would not have seen otherwise.
"Very interesting tour Riga - Vilnius"
Our enthusiastic and serviceminded guide, Kamile – also being a high speed loving car driver – gave us a good impression of Latvian and Lithuanian history and contemporary lifestyle. This kind of sightseeing is highly recommended.
"Wonderful!!"
Nice arrangement and good tour guide!!
"Fantastic"
It was superb day spent with friendly people and in wonderful environment. Laura, our guide, was super, very talktive (in a good way), and helpful. That was enough time for every stop and visit.
"Best way to get from Riga to Vilnius"
The tour is very well worked out. The huge sculptures at Salaspils are amazing, and you'll never see anything like the Hill of Crosses anywhere else in the world. Rundale was okay, but not particularly impressive after the palaces in St. Petersburg, and although it was nice to have a stop in Kaunas, it doesn't have the attractions of Vilnius. Ruta was very professional and a good driver
"Great tour!"
Really enjoyed our day with Kamile, she was friendly, knowledgable and kind! Would recommend!
"Do this tour! "
Four of us booked this tour and even with the maximum eight, the bus wasn't too cramped. It sounds like a long bus journey but its neatly divided by four stops, two in Latvia, two in Lithuania so doesn't feel too onerous. All three sightseeing stops were great and few people around. Lunch was the fourth! Laura gave us plenty of information on each stop and general history of both countries. She was also an excellent driver! Would recommend.
"A Surprisingly Touching and Wonderful Day"
The day tour from Riga to Vilnius was wonderful. We stopped at four beautiful sites which I had not known anything about. Two of them, Salispils in Latvia and Hill of Crosses in Lithuania, were emotionally very moving. Our impassioned tour guide, a young Lithuanian lady, was extremely knowledgeable, humorous, and lively. I learned a lot on the tour and saw some extremely lovely places. I recommend taking this tour to anyone who wants to go from Riga to Vilnius. I also took the one from Tallinn to Riga, and would make the same recommendation.
"An excellent way to transfer between countries"
The Riga to Vilnius transfer went without any hick ups. We had an guide/driver, well informed and a former Biologist. A full mini van with splendid and diverse conversation. The trip is long but a great way of getting between the two counties and visiting The Hill of Crosses on the way. Highly recommend.
"What a wonderful trip!"
Our tour guide drove safely and introduced sightseeing spots clearly. We enjoyed the trip very much. Thank you!
""Effective sightseeing""
If you are in the Baltic states and don't have enough time, these tours between Tallinn-Riga-Vilnius are the the best ways to get to know as much as it's possible. Kamile was an extraordinary guide! Thank you for the wonderfoul tour! The only too short stop was in Kaunas, maybe if the bus could arrive a bit later to Vilnius, that would be nice.
"Great sightseeing tour from Riga to Vilnius"
Mike is a very knowledgeable guide and made our trip extremely enjoyable. Great way to travel from Riga to Vilnius!
"Fantastic way to go between Riga and Vilnius"
My sister and I only had a few days to travel in Latvia and Lithuania, so this daylong tour allowed us to see more of both countries outside the capitals in a really neat way. We loved our guide, Kamile, who told us about each location with tons of fascinating details. The stops each added to our understanding of Latvia and Lithuania’s history and included a good amount of free time to see things on our own, which was the perfect balance. I’d highly recommend this!
"Visit places you wouldn't normally go, and wonder why you never did?"
Fantastic comfortable drive with plenty of stopoffs, great information from our host Camile. (Just don't trust her food recommendations, i.e. the beetroot soup). Best way to travel....would definitely recommend...
"12 hours of friendship!!!"
we are 8 travelers coming from different countries plus our very energetic/informative tour guide/driver, LAuraaaaa..... and we build 12 hours of friendship, from concentration Camp to Rundale Palace and in between we have a Lunch, 30 mins from the restaurant is Hill of Cross and off to Kaunas... and finally around 8:30Pm we arrived to Vilnius. It was a Great Day for all of us...
"THE BEST TOUR EVER!!!"
Ahhhh.. I couldn’t exactly put into words how happy and contented we are. It was an AMAZING tour with LAWWWWRA (Laura)! She’s amazing 😉 There are no dull moments at all. She’s informative, energetic, friendly and obviously witty (Oh, and a great singer, too! 😉) We travelled for about 11 and half hours with 5 stops including the lunch and I will tell you guys, paying 65€ for a full day tour is all worth it!! I highly recommend this tour. Good job, guys! Til next time!
"Fabulous day!"
Had a long but thoroughly enjoyable day travelling from Riga to Vilnius via the Salaspils Memorial, Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses and Kaunas. Our stop off for lunch was also good, the meal was tasty and good value. The eight-seater transport was very comfortable and air-conditioned and the itinerary interesting, but the real star was our guide Laura, from Lithuania. It's not often you meet a guide so energetic, knowledgeable, friendly and with near-perfect English. Such a lot of fun too, an absolute gem. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone, many thanks Laura!
"A really beautiful day "
A very good mix of history and beautifulyl landscape ,palace ,trees and flowers. Of course our guide -driver Ruta was the best .
"Very good trip"
Good soluzione to move between the city. Very nice guide.
"Informative and a taste of the countries outside the capitals. "
We stopped at four different places, two in Latvia and two in Lithuania, which we probably would not have visited otherwise. Having one guide in a small group allowed us to discuss a number of topics other than tourist sights and share a very pleasant lunch. It’s a great idea for people travelling alone or in small groups too, Several of us met up the next day.
"Great experience "
We had an amazing experience travelling from Riga to Vilnius. Thank you to our tour guide Laura who was full of energy and very knowledgeable. Ačiū Laura!
"8 go to Vilnius "
Interesting trip good stop overs and it was great to get to Vilnius by 8pm ( a bit too speedy at times) Lunch stop was not as good as our one travelling from Tallin to Riga Guide was a bit over the top at times and rather dismissive of the other Baltic states She did deliver us very close to our destination which was a real bonus
"Great way to travel between cities"
First stop at the Salaspils monument and museum at the Nazi punishment and labour camp. Very moving site where you can hear an eternal heartbeat. Rundale palace was magnificent with awesome gardens. Hill of Crosses was amazing with over a million crosses of all sizes. Last stop at Kaunus with time to walk around the park and old town. Our guide (so sorry can't remember his name) was a very good driver and was very informative and made the trip interesting. Arrived in Vilnius a little earlier than expected amidst the 30 year Baltic Way celebrations.
"Worth it!"
Mike has been a comprehensive and comitted guide. This is the real good way to learn a lot and making a transfer between two capital cities a memorable experience ! We recommend
"Worth doing!"
Interesting & a great way to see the country. Fun, genuine guide
"City to city transfer with a difference!"
This is definitely the BEST way to transfer between Riga and Vilnius - with four really interesting and varied stops along the way - the Salaspils memorial, the beautiful Rundale Palace (the largest in the Baltic states), the unique Hill.of Crosses, and the very pretty former Lithuanian capital of Kaunas. A lovely lunch stop is also included - venison steak excellent. Our guide and driver Kamile was bubbly, chatty, informative and pleasant - despite having to drive 450 kn in a day! The only suggestion I would make for improvement is that possibly a little longer could be given time-wise at the Rundale palace for those travelers who want to see inside the palace in addition to having a look around the beautiful gardens.
"Simply Awesome"
The experience was fantastic. Guide Kamile was awesome. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and always smiling. The food at that restaurant was excellent. Overall it was money well spent. Will definitely recommend others to try out this tour.
"Great way to travel between Riga and Vilnius"
Great way to travel between Riga and Vilnius which allowed us to see and experience several key sights along the journey such as Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses, Kaunas and Trakai. Mikelis was a great guide who was very knowledgeable, friendly and kind towards my elderly Mother who travelled with me. Overall the trip was insightful and efficiently and punctually run! Keep up the good work!
"Riga to Vilnius "
Really enjoyed the trip from Riga to Vilnius. The stops were all very interesting and Laura our tour guide was over flowing with energy and enthusiasm. Lunch selections were limited if you didn't want venison.
"Efficiant and interesting way to travel from Riga to Vilinius"
We travelled as a group of six, from Hong Kong and Japan,. Although we have not been lucky in terms of weather (cloudy and rainy), we were very lucky to have Kamile as our guide. The tour itself was very well balanced in where to stop and what to see; we enjoyed the coutryside and learned a lot about the history of both Latvia and Lithuania. Kamile was also extremely helpful when, at the end of the tour at Vilinius, the hosts of one of our Airb&bs were quite irresponsible and our friends could not enter the apartment. She helped us communicate with the hosts by phone and although it must have taken longer than usual, she's dropped us all at our respective lodgings. Thank you so much! I highly recommend this mode of travel as it is much more fun than flying.
"best way to travel from riga to vilnius"
we loved the tour. beautiful nature and impressive monument, castle, hill of crosses etc. anna rocked big time. thank you
"Great travel!"
Kamile was wonderful! Great driver and full of interesting information!
"Wonderful trip and wonderful guild."
Really enjoy this tour from start to finish. Highly recommended it.
"Perfect way of getting from Riga to Vilnius"
Booking of the tour was very easy, no endless forms to fill in, wire through CC or Paypal. Laura was a great guide, sharing a lot of her knowledge with us. We had enough time at each stop and defenitely recommend this trip. If you get Laura as a guide you can count yourself very lucky!
"Very nice tour to Vilnius "
I can for sure recommend this tour. We saw very nice and interesting places on our way from Riga to Vilnius and got very good information on the way
"A great journey "
The places we went to were amazing. We spent enough time in each place. The tour guide was helpful and professional.
"Excellent Tour but ¿is Latvia Still under Soviet Control,"
Ruta is an excellent tour guide. Our first stop was Salaspil, Latvia which was a Nazi camp. However, as we well know while the Soviets were building this Memorial Park, they (Stalin...Brezhnev) were shipping Latvians to Siberian Gulags. ¿Why haven't the Latvians built some Memorial here to all the Latvians that disappeared during the Communist Era. Or: ¿Is Latvia Still under Soviet Control?
"Travelling all over the countryside with Karolis"
Great day with a great guide and group of fellow travellers
"Geat experience "
Il tuor da Riga a Vilnius è stato piacevole e le mete visitate sono davvero suggestive e meritano una visita. - Collina delle croci - Kaunas Laura è stata un'ottima guida , simpaticissima e dolce , veramente brava , complimenti!
"Essential for your trip!"
Cannot recommend this trip enough. Nice comfy bus, very helpful, friendly and informative guide and saw a load of sites I wouldn’t have been able to get to by myself. A great start to my trip. Would definitely recommend as an exciting way to transfer from Riga to Vilnius.
"Awesome Tour"
I would definitely recommend the tour. Our guide Laura is knowledgeable and fun, she made sure everyone had a great day!
"Fun in the rain"
Great way to get from Riga to Vilnius. Interesting stops along the way that I probably would not have visited on my own, including the Salaspils Memorial and the Hill of Crosses. The best part of the day was our guide, Laura, who was entertaining, informative, and positive all day long, despite some really dreary weather.
"Best way to travel between capitals"
Excellent trip with our very knowledgeable guide Karolis - great to see sights we wouldn't be able to see otherwise and really good to learn a bit about the history and stories behind the places we visited. Really nice to travel with others and share experiences, in a comfortable minibus with big windows. And the lunch in a typical Lithuanian restaurant was delicious.
"Excellent tour"
Rota is very nice and explains very clearly to us in every steps.
"Super"
Very friendly and informative guide
"Great Tour"
Perfect experience. Guide is nice, car is comfortable, and the points we visit are all very worth going. The place to have lunch is beautiful and food is good yet price is not high.
"Highly recommended"
Great sightseeing trip from Riga to Vilnius. Many interesting stops and a nice restaurant for lunch. The tour guide Beatrice had great knowledge about the places we stopped.
"."
A great way to learn more about the countries I visited, and to see memorable places I would otherwise not get to see. This was my second tour and the guides were both knowledgeable and happy to share their love of their country. Felt very safe with the driving .
"Laura was amazing "
I have never been on a tour with a guide who had such energy and enthusiasm. Laura’s love for her country of Lithuania was contagious.
"It was amazing"
We had such a spirited tour guide, Laura, who made all the difference. She was knowledgeable and her energy levels were so good! So, all the stops we made along the way were right up my alley - the holocaust memorial, the hills of crosses, the palace on the Latvian Lithuanian border. The whole trip was my money's worth. You guys should seriously considering charging more because it is so worth it. The lunch halt was also in a very nice restaurant. In all it's for whoever wants to see the Baltics in its raw beauty.
"Fantastic day"
This trip from Riga to Vilnius is really not to be missed. The guide, Beatrice, was amazing (friendly, funny and very knowledgeable). The stops offer something for everyone. Highly recommended
"The guide is very informative and funny "
My family and I like the tour very much. Our guide Beatrice is very professional and cheerful. The tour can bring us to several main tourist sites in one day. It did save us lots of time.
"Enthusiastic guide through latvia and lithuania."
Laura was a great guide: fun, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Laura made the trip a real pleasure.
"Best Way to Travel in the Baltics!"
We took the tour from Riga to Vilnius, and absolutely loved it. Our guide, Kamile, was incredible. She went above and beyond to take care of us and teach us about these places. The stops on the tour were amazing and educational. The lunch that we had was absolutely delicious. We really could not have asked for a better experience. We absolutely recommend these trips to anyone travelling in the region who wants to see and learn a lot.
"Enthusiastic travel to Vilnius"
A very good guide with a big heart and good knowledge of the area. Interesting places to see.
"Riga to Vilnius on a rainy day"
The stops were interesting and Laura was very fun and energetic. However, I think guests should be able to choose whether to visit the garden or the inside of the Rundale palace. For us, the inside was more interesting than the garden (we had seen quite LOTs of palace gardens) and I think if we decide to pay a combo ticket (paying additional cost), the total would be cheaper?
"What a nice trip "
We visited Salaspils memorial, Rundale castle, the hill of croses and Kaunas. Our guide Ruta was great. We had a little bit of free time at every stop. The tour lasted from 9am to 8 pm.
"Interesting tour"
It was great to see so many interesting sites and get all the interesting information from our guide.
"The way to go 👍🏻 "
Well worth the cost, such an excellent way to get from Riga to Vilnius. Karolis was an excellent guide and it certainly doesn't feel like you are spending 12 hours on a bus journey.
"The best way to travel between cities "
Our guide Laura was one of the most enthusiastic people I've ever met and her energy didn't falter once throughout the day. She tried to teach us a couple of Lithuanian phrases and explain the culture too which was really great to hear from a personal experience rather than from a book or website. The tour was good to see more of Latvia and Lithuania than just the capitals. The Salaspils memorial was worth seeing although very poignant and definitely made you feel the tragedy that occurred there. The only things that could be improved is maybe the guide being slightly quieter at the memorial as it felt a bit uncomfortable her doing the history so loudly as we were walking through. May be better to stop and group us around to talk for this site. Also, there was a lot of Abba on the bus- this may or may not be good depending on your view!
"Riga–Vilnius Sightseeing Tour Bus"
The tour was brilliant. A wonderful way to get from Riga to Vilnius. Our guide was charming, witty, spoke excellent English and could sing. Kept us entertained for the whole trip! I'd certainly do it again.
"Flexible and informative"
We were met by our guide, Beatrice, who was welcoming and relaxed. She gave a good overview of the tour, assisted with the stowage of the luggage and got us underway promptly. We visited several places of historical interest, where just the right amount of information was given. The group followed Beatrice's lead and relaxed and joked happily together for the day. Her love of country and delightful personality made the rather long day a very pleasant and informative time for us. Highly recommended tour.
"It was a great decision!"
I was quite happy with my decision to go on the tour. Karolis (LT) was very knowledgeable about the region, culture, history, and I appreciate hearing them. In addition, he is simply sweet and kind.
"Brilliant way to travel! "
Absolutely the best way to travel, I wish there would be more routes than there is today. I went from Riga to Vilnius with Beatrice and it was awesome! Brilliant driver and guide and we got to see all the interesting things on the way.
"A fruitful tour"
Our tour guide, Ruta, is very knowledgeable, she is friendly. And I and my family really enjoyed the trip. At each stop, she told us about the history of the place clearly. The places we visited are very good, hard to access by ourselves. Many thanks go to Ruta.

"Great transfer tour!"
It is a great and interesting method to move between cities in baltic states. We stopped at some very interesting spots on the way which are not reachable by public transport. Beatrice is our guide. Energetic, talkative and caring! Highly recommend esp for people dunno driving like me.
"Best way to see the countryside! "
Beatrice was an excellent, enthusiastic and friendly guide! She even went out of her way to return lost property to us, brining it to where we were staying later in the evening. The sites were well chosen to make the most of travelling between 2 capitals. Highly recommended!
"Amazing day trip recommended for everyone "
We took a trip from Riga to Vilnius with Beatrice. It was a truly amazing day. We saw a lot of interesting places which we otherwise never would have seen. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun. Beatice's excitement was very infectious and her personal insights and stories made this a perfect tour.
"Excellent way to go from Riga to Vilnius"
It was an excellent experience to go from Riga to Vilnius. The free time given to each attraction was exactly what we needed. Tour guide Karolis was explaining with every detail each attraction and he was able to answer every question while he was really friendly always with a smile despite so many hours of driving and guiding. The restaurant we went was really cosy and cute!!! Thank you for this experience
"The Perfect Transfer Tour"
This is a great way to see more sights while transferring from Riga to Vilnius. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. My only recommendation is if we’re running late and a sight we should see closes soon, make sure to go there first upon arrival, then see the remaining sights in the town.
"Fun way to get from riga to villinus"
What an amazing trip! I would not recommend going from riga to villinus any other way. One of the best tours and kamile was amazing!
"Riga-Vilnius!!!"
Great way to move from one capital to the next. I did the Riga-Vilnius trip. We stopped at some very interesting spots on the way that would take half or full day trips to visit on our own. Highly recommended!
"Great way to get between capitals as long as tour company get their act together regarding transport."
Great way to get between capitals and see some of the sights on the way. The guides are very good and helpful. However our mini bus was a disaster. The seat belts did not work and eventually the bus broke down altogether. Another bus had to be arranged which meant we spent quite some time in a service station. ⁷Disappointing as not cheap.
"Comfortable but not cheap. "
Sights we saw were cool but all no cost but the one garden - which they pay entrance for - four Euros. Lunch not included, so the 65 Euros seems a bit much for the tour. Remember that 12 hours can also be a bit long. But, if you don't have another way to see these sights and you want to see these particular things, then this is the way to go. Laura was energetic but lacked in the guiding area in terms of recommendations or advice of bathrooms or what to see when you have free time.
"Very interesting. "
Very nice guide with plenty of information on country...
"Very lively trip!"
Very nice trip from Riga to Vilnius: the places we visited were impressive (concentration camp, crosses hill) or gorgeous (palace, Kaunas). My daughters especially enjoyed to have Mikelis ("Mike") as guide since they were all students. A splendid experience. Sincerely recommended!
"Riga to Vilnius"
This tour is a fantastic way to travel between the Baltic capitals - public transport in these countries is not fabulous but on this tour, you get to easily travel from country to country whilst experiencing some of the sights and history along the way. Our guide, Kamile, was well versed in the history of the region and was a lovely companion as well. The only constructive feedback I have is that two such tours were run that day - I was in a mini bus at full capacity (eight passengers) but the other tour only had three people in the same sized mini-bus...
"Very engaged and interesting "
Laura is excellent - she will greet you with such high spirit in the early morning and remains cheerful throughout the day. She makes the entire tour really engaging by sharing with you many ‘secrets’. The journey from Riga to Vilnius has indeed become a truly interesting experience!
"Interesting experience"
All participants in this travel was good, and trip was interesting and new expirience for me.
"A transfer with full of feelings and experiences!"
An excellent way to learn and feel new when travelling from Riga to Vilnius. Our multitasking guide was excellent to share really interesting topics around the route. I did not know that so excellent guides as Beatrice even exists. She was even able to sing to us!! Thank you so much!
"Fun, sociable and educational. Another great day."
Laura was a highly dynamic guide, passionate and informed about her home country of Lithuania and the Baltic states in general. We had previously done the Tallinn to Riga tour so our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. Again it was really nice meeting a small group of people from all over the world and spending some time with them doing interesting stops that naturally sparked conversations. The stops on the tour were varied, quite different from the Tallin to Riga tour, well structured and thought out. The restaurant we ate lunch in had a tasty, locally inspired menu at reasonable prices.
"Perfect way to see the country and its history"
With Karolis as our guide we set off on time and made the short journey to our first stop. By this time we were all chatting about our different experiences in the Baltics and looking forward to discovering more. The stops do vary but we visited the prison camp, mountain of crosses, a palace of the lover of one of the Romanov daughters and finally the old town of Kaunas. Our fellow travellers parted in great spirit and whilst a little weary from the journey far more aware of both Latvia and Lithuania. Great trip, very charming and knowledgeable guide and would recommend the experience to young and old alike.
"A great way to travel!"
Just took the tour from Riga to Vilnius. Our guide, Mike, was really friendly and personable, and made the trip for us. He kept up entertaining conversation as the picturesque fields rolled past and we chewed our Latvian “cow candy”. He also told his family’s personal stories as a means of highlighting the living history of this region. Also in our group was a family who had just taken part in the singing festival in Estonia, and Mike sang with them. A great host for a great trip. The trip itself was a set of places I would otherwise have no means of getting to, and that I may not have even known existed. I would highly recommend this tour and this trip!!
"Funny guide! Nice stops! Good music! "
We had a fun day with mikelis 🎉
"Great tour, great guide"
We very much enjoyed this tour. It was well organised and the variety of stops was well chosen and gave a fascinating flavour of the history and culture of Latvia and Lithuania. Kamile made the difference though. Her knowledge and enthusiasm shone through and her English was excellent and very understandable.
"Great trip"
Wonderful journey. Rūta the guide was wonderful. Provided all the help you could wish, with a great personality. The stops were diverse and interesting and lunch was very nice. I would recommend this as an opportunity to see a little of the countryside on the way to Vilnius.
"Full day of usual day trip fun!"
Our trip from Riga to Vilnius was amazing, in main part to our wonderful guide Lau. He had a bus full of ladies and made our day comfortable, easy and enjoyable. He was a master at the walk and talk and gave us plenty of time to see the sights, great background knowledge about each place and personalized drop off to each of our hotels. He also gave us each some Lithuanian chocolate and candies as a sweet gift! We really loved traveling with him and the sights we were able to see along the way which would have taken up much more time as day trips from Riga or Vilnius. Definitely the best and most entertaining way to get from city to city, meet other travelers and get a local guide!
"Private tour at group rate"
We were lucky enough to have the tour operated for just the 2 of us so maximum flexibility. Our guide ‘Lorenzo’ was great, knowledgeable and happy to meet our schedule.
"Best way to get from Riga to Vilnius"
If your time in Latvia and Lithuania is limited, this is a great way to see some of the highlights in the country side without the need for extra day trips from Riga or Vilnius. You're likely taking the bus between these two cities anyways, so I highly recommend this scenic route. Anna was a great guide and driver--she was knowledgeable about the sights and gave us plenty of time to explore most of them.
"Is a good way to get reelevant places"
The concept is a great idea, yu travel from city to another and in the middles you visit reelevant touristic and historical sites. The tour guide is very knowledgeable, but as she is driving too. I think what is missing is to explain more of Riga and Vilinios cities when you leave and when you arrive. because when we arrive to ilnius there was no expanation about the city at all, at leas some ideas of where to go and what to visit would be helpful.
"Quick but lots of sites!"
We had a great time with our tour host, Lau. He was super upbeat, had some great playlists the he played during the drive (after lunch when we were all sleepy it was calming piano and ambient music), and he was really kind. He shared some great facts about each site but also insight into Lithuanian culture. We had a great time-- thanks for a lovely trip!
"Touring the baltics!"
Great way to see a bit of the country outside the main cities of Riga and Vilnius. The Hill of Crosses was pretty cool and the large statues of the liberation of Salaspils in Latvia was educational. A great way to spend a day to those looking for a journey between these two countries and not just a destination.
"Rain day, wonderful and short day."
Good experience, but may be would better if we had been 30 minutes more in kaunas. We arrived to Vilnius al 8:17 and the visit was from 9AM to 9 PM. It was a shame the rain in the hill of crosses
"Informative Tour"
Great way to get from Riga to Vilnius. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great however still interesting sites. would have liked for the inside of Rundale castle to have been include in price. That with the price of lunch made the whole tour expensive for a family. The lunch however was a highlight, delicious and the best meal we had on our visit! Although we stopped at Kaunas it was late in the day and most museums, etc. were closed. Perhaps another site could be added instead of Kaunas. Kamile, our guide was affable and friendly and helpful. Although a bit expensive we would still recommend this tour as a great way of transferring between Riga and Vilnius.
"Informative trip and a safe drive"
Recommend to anyone travel from Riga to Vilnius.
"Great way to see the Baltics"
This was a great way to see interesting places in both Latvia and Lithuania, especially for a person like me who doesn't have a driver's licence so I can't rent a car. Our guide spoke very good english and told us a lot about the history of the sights we visited and he also gave us time to explore these places on our own.
"Great fun"
It was a great way to travel from Riga to Vilnius and Lau really took care of us.
"Great tour"
It was a great tour. The only criticism is that I wish we had less time at the Hill of Crosses and more time in Kaunus.
"Superb transfer tour!"
This was a really excellent way to transfer between Riga and Vilnius and to see a number of interesting sights along the way. Anna was a fantastic guide - she was flexible and very aware of people's needs, whilst ensuring that the tour proceeded efficiently. The guide was knowledgeable and engaging and provided just the right amount of commentary. It was good to have sufficient time to visit the palace rooms at Rundale - another 15/20 minutes here would have been great, though there was a lot of other things to fit in. The lunch venue was very well chosen. The Hill of Crosses was spectacular.
"Great Day In the Sun !!"
Great day out on the Riga-Vilnius Tour , good way to see the sights in a day. Anna was super as leader for the day had answers to all the questions and provided lots of info about each site. Lunch was very nice as well .
"Perfect Tour"
Anna is a great guide plus good driver. We had enough time to visit all the stops. it was good that the visit to Trakai Castle was not part of the tour, else there would have been less time. I recommend this tour 100%. Now i wish we had planned an extra day for the Tallinn to Riga tour as well.
"Great tour! "
We took the trip from Riga to Vilnius and had a wonderful time. Laurynas was wonderful and made the trip so interesting and fun. It was a great way to travel between cities and see some of the sights we wanted to see along the way. Laurynas’ knowledge, sense of humor and obvious pride of his country is an asset to Traveller Tours.
"Great journey from Riga to Vilnius"
Perfect balance between the time spent in the van and the visits. A prefect way to discover cities and sightseeing’s between the two capitals. Our guide was super nice and knowledgeable about the history of the Baltic countries. She responded to all our questions.
"-"
Overall interesting and informative but in an attempt (I guess) to make tour members relate to the horrors of children being separated from their parents at work camps, our guide very suddenly shouted “MAMA!!!” during his explanation. All of our group members were visibly startled/confused, as were other visitors at the memorial. This was completely inappropriate and should be stopped immediately.
"Wonderful roadtrip "
It was a very pleasant day with a funny guide giving exactly the right amount of explanations and free time!
"Great tour from Riga to Vilnius"
Laurynas was the perfect guide and driver. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The stops were the right length. Our lunch stop served traditional Lithuanian food. It was great. Would highly recommend this tour.
"A great tour for all ages"
We were looking for transport between Riga and Vilnius, as we had been using trains throughout but none are available during the week, and we didn’t want to sit on a coach for over 4 hours. An internet search produced this tour, but we were initially a little dubious about its suitability for older people, as the pick-up point was outside a hostel and the promotion video features only energetic young people! However, from the moment Beatrice and her colleagues arrived in their shiny vans with their friendly greeting, we knew the day would be good! The 4 of us 70-year-olds from the UK were accompanied by 2 young ladies from Singapore, and we had a great time together, with Beatrice providing an excellent balance of information, personal anecdotes and humour, as well as being a very good driver. Lunch was good (especially as we ordered ahead, so didn’t have to wait long for it), and the palace, hill of crosses and Kaunas were all most interesting and enjoyable. We arrived in Vilnius after an excellent, full day. Full marks to Beatrice, our guide, a journalism student with a wide knowledge and excellent English, always prepared to learn more! We can highly recommend this way of travelling between Riga and Vilnius (or vice versa).
"Fun Tour"
This tour is certainly a great way to see more of Latvia and Lithuania if you don’t have a lot of time in the countries! Our guide, Beatrice, was super fun and friendly.
"Well-paced interesting way to go from Riga to Vilnius"
I was pleased that I booked 2 of the day tours with this company, both Riga-Tallinn and Riga-Vilnius. The Riga-Vilnius tour stoped at four sites. The first was the peaceful yet moving memorial to victims of labour camps. Next was the Rundāle Palace. After that the Hill of Crosses. And lastly Kaunas, former capital of Lithuania. Our guide explained the history clearly and with enthusiasm and was very knowledgeable about the region. She was also an excellent driver. The small size of the group was good as I guess we were therefore easy to manage - no poor timekeeping! The highlight for me was probably Rundāle. The gardens were glorious, the palace delightful. The low point if any was lunch as the restaurant was crowded with other tours and struggled to cope; and the food was not great ( compared with others I went to in the region. In general I would heartily recommend these one-way day tours.
"Great guide and tour. Issue with pick up point"
Karolis was great. Very knowledgeable and a really good bloke. Really enjoyed the day. All the stops were decent though Hill of Crosses the highlight. Only issue was trying to get the pick up point details which included 2-3 phone calls the day before. 2 or 3 out of 5 for the admin. 5 for the guide and tour.
"What a day!"
Our driver had great enthusiasm and was very positive. My only question is about the length of time at certain stops. I would’ve preferred much more time at Salaspils and Rundale Palace, and far less time (or not even stop) in Kaunas. Also, at Rundale, I wish we were given an option whether to see the gardens or the inside. (We were provided only a ticket to the garden.) I paid for my own entrance to the Palace, but had to walk fast to see it due to the short time there. These are just my opinions... But otherwise, Traveler Tours are a great way to see more of the countryside & harder to reach on your own places, and I recommend them!!
"Value for money tour!"
We could go many places both countries. It was difficult for us to go these places by ourselves. If you do not time, this tour is really recommend to join. Tour guide is really nice. She has good knowledge and sense of humor.
"Great Tour for everybody!"
I hesitated to join this tour because I was not English speaker, but it was wrong.Laura -our guide-was very friendly, kind and energetic. She welcomed all of us and guided with a lot of knowledge. Her English is easy to understand for non-English speaker like me.We were 8 people and it was good size.Everybody in this tour accepted me like as a friend. We had a great day together. This tour is the best way from Riga to Vilnius!
"Great tour, excellent guide!"
Laura our guide was brilliant! She was funny, extremely enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. The sights we went to see we’re really interesting, and not crowded at all as they were off the beaten track & away from where most other tourists go. It was a fun way to see the Baltics. I wanted to give this tour 5 stars but I found the minivan to be very uncomfortable to spend 11 hours travelling in. A few hours would be ok but for a whole day of travelling it would be nice to be in a less cramped bumpy small vehicle. But other than that, great tour, highly recommend it
"Tour leader and small groups WINNER"
Thoroughly enjoyable trip. Great way to travel from Riga to Vilnius. Laura very entertaining and informative tour leader. Good size group, loved the mix of backgrounds.
"Sorry we did not make it"
The idea appeared to us to be brilliant as we will using the time to visit number of places between Riga & Vilnius, sadly my wife suffered from pain in her leg, we abortive the journey and we were promised a refund
"Un viaggio indimenticabile"
Ruta la nostra guida, una ragazza solare prepara ed attenta a tutte le tue esigenze. Un tour che consiglio vivamente di fare specialmente se è anche un trasferimento da una città all'altra.

"Everything you wanted but didn’t know it!"
Laura welcomed us and made it possible for a very disparate group to become adventure buddies! Laura’s knowledge and people skills kept us willingly on our toes throughout the day (which flashed by) She negotiated times with us, was kind and respectful. Nobody was left out or behind. Everything was done with a light touch and where possible her irrepressible sense of humour. There were serious times, when we visited the concentration camp in Latvia. Her knowledge about the places we visited and the history of the Baltic states gave me many more insights than my reading. She made the history real, human and where appropriate, funny. I have never been on a guided tour before but this has encouraged me. The day was fabulous, the lunch, the palace, the hill of crosses. My diary entry has gone on for pages rather than the usual brief notes. I will always remember that day and I know that my fellow adventurers will. Thankyou Laura, for a special, wonderful day. I will never forget it. Oh - not forgetting her beautiful rendition of the lullaby her mother sang to her!
"Balkan Bus Trip"
A very interesting way to travel between two countries, taking in the scenery and attractions along the way. Our driver/guide was very knowledgable, friendly and spoke English perfectly.
"Great"
Tour was informative and as advertised. Would have like to skip Kaunas and instead go to Trakai castle though, as the itinerary included Trakai when I purchased my ticket
"Laura is the BEST"
We really enjoyed our day tour from Riga to Vilnius and could not recommend it more. It's an excellent way to make one's way between the capitals while also visiting interesting places along the way. The trip really appealed to me because instead of losing half a day to travel, you get a fully packed sightseeing day. The tour did NOT disappoint. We had an incredible guide - Laura - who was just a pleasure to spend the day with. She was very informative about all the sites AND she had amazing energy throughout the day. She was so enthusiastic and friendly and energetic that it felt like we were traveling with a new friend! It's great to spend time with someone who seems to be truly excited about her job. She provided a great introduction to Lithuania for us and she told us a lot about the region and the country. Overall, after a packed 10 day tour, the day we spent with Laura was one of the highlights for all four of us. Highly Recommend!
"Enjoyable Tour"
A very well arranged tour with well chosen stopping points. 12 hours whizzed by! Punctual start with Ruta, a delightful young lady. Nothing was too much, the explanations were very clear and she shared a lot of details and held our interest throughout the tour. She was very patient and an excellent guide.Very comfortable bus.
"The Best if the Baltics"
It was an easy way to travel from Riga to Vilnius. We saw the amazing countryside outside of the big cities...beautiful. The holocaust memorial is so impactful, so well done. I found the hill of the crosses to be less so. The castle was worth the visit but the hour spent in Kaunas could have been by passed...we found a bar and a bottle of wine. Kamile outstanding and her recommendation for dinner proved exceptional.
"Great Tour – Try to go inside Rundale Palace if you have time!"
I'd booked this tour when it still included a stop at Trakai, and was a little disappointed when they changed the itinerary slightly to remove Trakai. However, after going on the tour, I think that was a great decision. The tour made 4 stops: Salaspils Memorial, Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses, and Kaunas. We had a good amount of time at each place, although I wish we'd had 15 minutes less at Hill of Crosses and 15 minutes more at Rundale Palace. With the time given at Rundale Palace, you can either tour the garden (which is included in the price of the tour), or you can buy your own ticket to tour the inside of the palace. I managed to cram in both, but it was very, very rushed, and the inside of the palace ended up being the highlight of the day for me. I think if the tour cost an extra 10EUR and included the ticket to tour the inside of the palace for an extra 15-20 minutes, with less time at Hill of Crosses, it would have been perfect. We had about 35 minutes I think at Hill of Crosses, and it was a little too much since it starts to look all the same after a while.
"Best way to get to Vilnius from Riga! "
First off this was our second trip with Anna. She is spectacular! Very mature and friendly. She handles every detail wonderfully and is a good driver! My favorite stop was the Hill of Crosses. The memorial in Latvia Salaspils was also really worthwhile - it’s one of the most haunting places I’ve ever been but important given that I brought my teen son with me in part to learn history of the region and we both appreciated all the stops and Anna’s knowledgable guidance at each location.
"Over the river and through the woods with Kamile"
Well done excursion. Comfortable vehicle, knowledgeable guide and well thought out itinerary.
"Super travel with Anna to Vilnius"
Anna was very kind, she is a super guide. The travel from Riga to Vilnius was interesting and nice.
"Simply the BEST "
We had an awesome time on our Riga-Vilnius trip! Our guide was exceptional; he was extremely knowledgeable about the sites we visited and did everything he could to make sure we were comfortable. (It was 37 degrees, so that was no small feat!) He answered all of our questions with skill and humor, and taught us about Latvian and Lithuanian cultures. We took his advice about restaurants in Vilnius and have been amazed by our experiences. I hope to come back to the Baltic someday and take some more tours with your company. Our experience was fantastic and the travel was seamless. The cost was very reasonable, especially for the value we received. Could not ask for anything more!
"Riga to Vilnius while sightseeing-awesome idea!"
Really interesting tours. I was happy to have the opportunity to visit both countries and to make the most of my short travel time in the baltic states.
"Friendly guide and interesting tour"
I recommend this tour without a doubt
"Great way to get to Vilnius "
I really enjoyed this tour to Vilnius from Riga. It stopped at a variety of interesting sights along the way and our guide had lots to tell us about each of them. The time we spent at each was just right and we reached Vilnius in good time where we were each dropped at our individual accommodation.
"Superb Tour"
I am so glad we chose this tour as our transfer from Riga to Vilnius. We visited places that we wouldn't have done otherwise on our own. The guides were fantastic. Loved Kaunas, wish we had 2 hours there instead of one, but do understand it is a transfer tour and is limited to time.
"Beautiful Baltics!"
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour from Riga to Vilnius. It was a great way to see the Latvian and Lithuanian countryside while learning more about the history of the two countries. The personal stories shared by our guides about their families’ own experiences really added to the meaningfulness of the day. I’d recommend this tour for anyone needing to travel between Riga and Vilnius who wants to get a better understanding of the history and culture of the Baltics.
"Friendly tour group "
The experience was one of a kind. Met different people from other countries. Nice tour with a friendly guides/driver. I forget my guide name. But his the one looking like hipster with a Australia cowboy hat and he has a special musical instruments.
"A long but very interesting tour"
During this sightseeing tour we saw beautiful places in both Latvia and Lithuania. I would highly recommend it. The driver and guide Beatrice did a great job.
"Good tour"
Good tour with excellent guides. Have dropped a star because when I booked the tour Trakai was included but you have dropped it without giving prior information.
"Another great ride!"
This was my second trip with this company. This was as pleasurable and educational as the one before from Tallinn to Riga. All the stops were well organized, the guides are always full of knowledge and humor. They are very engaging and keep everyone excited, even though several were tired from partying last nite. The stopover for food is well planned. The only thing I would mention that the food stopover is at a traditional food joint. Though it may appeal to many, it is not an establishment I would ever go to.
"Awesome tour"
The tour was fantastic, such amazing spots seen along the way that would have otherwise been hard to reach. Really authentic experience with a lovely Lithuanian guide with great knowledge and always willing to go the extra mile to make our day great. Thanks for a great day!
"Highly recommend!"
The tour was excellent. Laurynas was so friendly and accommodating to all of the guests, and made us feel very welcome. He truly wanted everyone to have a great experience. The sites chosen provided a great mix of old and more modern history. I would highly recommend Traveller to those touring the Baltics.
"Riga-Vilnius tour"
It was a wonderful way to see some of the Latvian and Lithuanian country with interesting stops along the way. Our guide, Anna, was lovely and full of knowledge. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
"An excellent way to get from Riga to Vilnius"
The hill of crosses was definitely the highlight of the trip. Our driver/guide, Mikelis, was fun and entertaining and has a great singing voice. This is definitely way better than just getting a bus from one city to another.
"Laura is a professional guide"
Laura is a professional guide, with lots of knowledge, And an excellent driver. Very nice and courteous. We had a great time with her on the trip
"Great day trip and very good guide !"
we decided to take this day trip just one day before and we’re lucky they still have last spot. The whole day trip was so enjoyable, despite the rainy weather. I like that the itinerary was not too full so that we have enough time in each sites without being rushed. Anna as the guide was really passionate, cheerful and really insightful. She really ensured that everyone was enjoying the tour. From all of the sites we visited, i really like Kaunas with it’s own charmed . Lunch also was very good , must try the apple pie and chocolate mousse dessert . The Van we used was convenient . Overall is a day well spent, very glad that we took this tour. Special thanks for Anna !!
"Great day!"
We had a great group of travelers, learning so much on the journey from Riga to Vilnius. Beautiful countryside. Beatrice, our guide, was wonderful. She made our experience memorable and enjoyable throughout.
"Another Great Day!"
We did this tour bus two days after taking the sightseeing bus from Tallinn to Riga and had the same knowledgeable and funny guide, Mike. We enjoyed all the stops on this tour and also had a great time trying traditional Lithuanian food for lunch. I particularly enjoyed the Rundāle Palace gardens and the Hill of Crosses, but the Rundāle Palace had so much to see that we could have done it as a day excursion. Overall, we were really happy to have Mike as our guide again, and he kept us entertained during the longer stretches of driving by playing us Latvian songs and pointing out storks/other animals along the road. Both of the sightseeing buses we took were great and I would highly recommend both of them!
"Very interesting and lovely tour guide"
We took this tour as we only had a short amount of time available in both countries and this seemed like an efficient way to do it. The tour included 6 of us and then our tour guide Kamile. The small tour group was great as it meant we had some flexibility in what we did and we got to know some of the others of the tour. We got a good amount of time in each place and the whole tour was set at a very good pace. Kamile was a great tour guide and she had lots of interesting stories to tell us about her family who grew up Lithuania during the Soviet times. She gave us lots of information in each place and I felt like I knew quite a bit about Lithuania by the end of the day! I really recommend this tour for the local experiences and to see these amazing sights.
"Great day out "
I really liked the tour, and the group I was with. As a solo traveler that was a key element. I got to sit up front which IMO is the best seat. Kamile was really knowledgeable, especially about the Occupation. And she was really helpful when i needed someone to take my picture. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is due to the fact that we didn't visit Trakai even though when I purchased the ticket, it was listed as a stop. I didn't receive a notification and only found out when we drove past the exit. Not cool.
"Fantastic trip "
We had a great day with Beatrice. We learnt a lot and enjoyed all the places we visited. Beatrice was super friendly and a great driver. We would recommend.
"Great way to travel!"
Our guide was really warm, bubbly and knowledgeable, oh, and a good driver too! The stops along the way we’re interesting, especially the Hill of Crosses. I Highly recommend this way of traveling from Riga to Vilnius!
"Studiato e preparato bene"

"Effective Tour"
This tour helped me to easily travel from Riga to Vilnus together with travel at the interesting place. However, I think that it is better to give more time at Hill of Cross because it is difficult to travel by own. Guide is very nice. She explained the information in details and gave the suggestion of Vilnus city.
"A day trip with Anna"
Well, i must say that Anna was a fabulous guide and knew how to communicate with the group, and as a lady she turned out to be an excellent driver, so we all arrived in Vilnius in one piece! . Usually i get nervous with female drivers as i bought my wife a new car 3 years ago and not yet brave enough to let her drive me around (Haha). A pity the Trakia stop was not included but realise that it was probably a good decision as the next day i spent 4 hours wandering around the peninsula. A pity that there is no option to visit the interior of Rundale Palace, but again there probably would not be enough time. The tour gave us a good idea of the four places where we stopped, and i particularly enjoyed the Hill of Crosses, leaving a cross there for my wife. The restaurant stop was in the middle of nowhere, might have been better to have lunch in the town so people had a choice. However i rally enjoyed my choice, shashlik chicken followed by apple pie and ice cream. The price seemed very reasonable for such a nice restaurant. I tried to book the Tallinn- Riga tour but unfortunately there were not enough people who signed up for it, a pity!
"Spring beauty!"
The countryside in the spring was really beautiful with yellow canola fields, blue skies and storks flying above. I was wowed by the gardens at Rundle Palace. Not something that I expected to see in Latvia. I booked the tour to see the hill of crosses and was not disappointed. Our guide was really warm-hearted and funny. It was more about the experience and less about the detailed history. He was really good at making us all feel at ease and connecting with a bunch of strangers. I would have preferred to arrive in Vilnius a bit sooner and skip out on our last stop as we we all tired and hungry by 9pm with only big lunch in our tummies but no supper. Bring along a granola bar would be my recommendation. Overall, loved it and would recommend it!
"Riga-Vilnius one day tour"
Excellent guide, and wonderful singing!
"Perfect Day"
Well organized!
"Riga to Vilnius"
Excellent tour. The other people booked on the tour cried off so we had a tour for just 2. Very informative with the guide being knowledgable and friendly. Lunch was excellent. I would recommend.
"Great tour!"
The tour between Riga & Vilnius is 100% worth taking. Great stops along the way, and the best option for getting to Hill of the Crosses. My tour guide was awesome & super knowledgeable not only about the sites we visited but all of the Baltics.
"*MUST DO*"
Laurynas was a great tour guide. Firstly the van was spacious and comfortable. I would not have gone to the sites covered on the tour on my own. Laurynas knew the history and information on every site visited. He also provided treats along the way. Laurynas was kind enough to drop us off at our accomodation which is not part of the tour. He also suggested things to do and a great local cuisine restaurant. I highly recommend this tour and if you’re lucky enough to have Laurynas, you will have a great time.
"UNAVOIDABLE"
VERY NICE PERSON , INTERESTING EPLANATIONS AND TRIP
"Laurynas, you went above and beyond!!!"
Everything about the trip was amazing. It's cool to visit so many places in a day. Laurynus, our guide shared with us about the history and also many of his personal experiences, which was really entertaining. It was soo nice of him to take us to Trakai as we had some extra time and even dropped us off at our designated hotels. I couldn't thank you enough for such a memorable journey.
"Best choice if you want to travel from Riga to Vilnius or the other way around"
We were very satisfied with the overall experience. The sites we have visited where very interesting. The restaurant where we had the lunch break was very nice as well. When booking we were wondering if we would get bored since the journey seems quite long. But not at all. We enjoyed. it a lot. Our guide Bea was very friendly and tells u a lot about History, art, culture, etc. She is a very kind and passionate person. We would definitely recommend this trip.
"Great tour and guide!"
We really enjoyed our tour bus journey from Riga to Vilnius. Our tour guide Laurynas was great, really nice guy with lots of knowledge on the history of the stops of the tour. He kept us all entertained with stories, jokes and his playlist. There were eight of us on the tour, but lots of space for our luggage and leg room throughout. We were given free bottles of water and some Lithuanian snacks, which were great to try! On arriving in Lithuania, we stopped at a restaurant specialising in venison. The prices were reasonable and the portions were very large! The stops on the tour were very interested and we learnt a lot of the history. Alongside the stops featured on the list, we also stopped at Trakai, which was beautiful. Also at the end of the tour, we were dropped off outside our Air BnB. A great finish to a lovely day. Thank you Lau for a really good tour, it was great to meet you! We recommend the tour for anyone looking to travel between Riga and Vilnius.

The money charged was 65 euro per person while other tours are charging euro 55

"Amazing trip"
It was a long journey trip but better than just taking the bus from Riga to Vilnius. Highly recommended !
"Excellent"
This tour is an excellent way to travel between the two cities and to see places that one would not normally visit. Our guide Kamile was very knowledgeable and informative on all aspects of Latvian and Lithuanian history and culture. Her presentation and good humour added greatly to the trip.
"Everything is great"
Nice trip
"Above and beyond!"
We booked this tour in the off season, early March, on a Wednesday. Even though nobody else booked the tour and normally it would not run, the team worked with us to find a solution so that we could still go, and we're thrilled with the result! Kamile was our personal tour guide for the day, and she was great. She spoke to what specifically interested us, shared her own stories of her life in the area, and recommended delicious Lithuanian snacks! Would 100% do another tour with this company, especially with Kamile!
"Recommended if u want to have an interesting journey between riga - Vilnius "
Great itinerary and local tour guide is able to share lots of history and story of both the countries. It’s more convenient and time efficient to join this tour than making your own arrangements, covering 4 places while travelling fr riga to Vilnius. Also accommodated to special request to drop some of us at the Vilnius railway station. Many thanks for that. Only comment is the confirmation for non peak season came a bit late. Luckily the tour agent called the day before to confirm participation or I would have missed this trip.
"Interesting way of travelling from Riga to Vilnius."
Thoroughly enjoyed my day tour from Riga to Vilnius with Anna and Kamile. Both guides provided interesting facts about both countries, and also shared experiences that their families had dealt with. They were informative, interesting and at times numerous. Lunch was well organised and tasty.
"LOVE the guides! "
A last minute decision to skip a plane and enjoy a drive between Riga and Vilnius. SO glad we did. Our guides (Anna and Kimmie - we were lucky to have both) were both incredibly well informed, funny, classy AND they loved the 80s. For young people in their early 20s they rocked our era en route between stops. Speaking of which - each stop was very well guided, with thoughtful comments and suggestions along the way. Very grateful we chose this option - thanks so much!
"Fantastic Tour with a fantastic Guide!"
What a brilliant day from start to finish, Kamile is a credit to the tour company, funny, friendly and a fountain of knowledge. Even dropped us off at the hotel too! Could not have picked a better way to get from Riga to Vilnius. Would definitely recommend this tour. What a great way to get from one city to the another. I was travelling with my 15 year old sons and they loved it too! Our highlight was the Hill of Crosses. Thanks Kamile and Thanks Traveller Tours
"Wonderful tour!"
We had a really great tour from Riga to Vilnius with Kamile. She kept us entertained and also is super knowledgable and full of great stories. While the tour obviously costs more than public transportation, we felt it was definitely worth it because we saw some places we wouldn't have chosen to see beforehand but really enjoyed, and others which we wanted to see but are really hard to access via public transportation. Unfortunately, due to the shorter days in winter, Trakai wasn't included in our tour, but it was an easy trip from Vilnius, so it wasn't so bad.
"A good way to get between capitals"
Great tour, interesting mix of places. Could have had one more spot, but the short days made that tricky. Lovely tour guide!
"Just perfect"
Just perfect. Very interesting private tour.
"Lovely day trip"
Absolutely a fantastic way of travelling from Riga to Vilnius. Saw a bunch of highlights of Latvia and Lithuania other than the capital cities. Laurynas is a great guide, very helpful and fun. Fantastic day!
"Riga to Vilnius"
The trip was excellent. Very comfortable van and our tour Guide Kamile , originally from Lithuania was great.
"Amazing Trip"
I had a fabulous time on the tour. It was in a great way to travel between the two cities with lots of different sites to see on the way. Our tour guide Kamil was a wealth of knowledge and her enthusiasm really made the trip memorable for me. Thank you so much!
"Twice as long but worth it"
Rather than catch the regular bus, I did the tour with Kamile. It was vastly more interesting and friendly than an express bus would have been.
"Impressive trip"
We had a great time from Rīga-Vilnius. The tour guide is super good and has a good attitude and understand our needs. They are very useful and informative giving us a snap info of where we visit. As we traveled with seniors, they did their best to accommodate our parents by having parking space/drop off and pick up location next to the places we visit and help them to get on and off the mini van. I would recommend this trip to everyone. It is far better than you drive yourself in such a bad weather conditions. It is worried-free. All you need to do is to sit back and relax.
"Best way to travel from Riga to Vilnius!"
We had a private bus tour from Riga to Vilnius and we are really glad that we did it in this way, otherwise it would be impossible to have visited so many places in one day if we had done it by public transportation. It was so much easier when travelling with kids and big luggages. And we learned so much about the history of the Baltic countries (especially Lithuania!). Laura is a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable, helpful, funny with great personality! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who travel through the Baltic countries!
"Best way to travel between cities!"
Such a great way to see the sites between the capital cities, as well as getting some insight into the culture with the informal chats with your tour guide-driver while on the road. Far better than flying or standard bus. Very highly recommended!
"This is how to travel 🧳 "
We were picked up in a minibus and it was comfortable. The tour was great if you are going from either Vilnius to Riga or the opposite. We got from Riga to Vilnius and it was a lot of interesting stops on the way. We learned alot of history about al the Baltic countries and saw new places. Our tour guide was Laurynas and it was like visiting a history lesson, a theater tour and comedy stand up at once. He drived safe and careful. It’s a very low price for a whole day of entertainment. I want to recommend everybody to take this trip. You will regret not doing this.
"Highly Recommended"
Really glad that i did this tour, I didn’t really do research on the visited places but the guide explained it well.
"Interesting way to get from Riga to Vilnius"
Everything was on time and very comfortable. 5 well chosen spots to stop along the way. Lucky with the weather but unfortunately the last two stops in the dark due to short days but both stops are beautifully lit up at night, so it was still perfect in a different way. Guide was very knowledgeable and spiced up the stories with family history. Thanks for a great day.
"Highly recommended!"
The tour was amazing. Our tour guide, Laurynas, did an amazing job throughout the trip. He gave us so much insights and information on the places we visited. The stories he told were incredibly interesting. Besides, I probably wouldn't have visited these places on my own if it weren't for this tour. Definitely give it a go!
"Great way to see and learn about the places inbetween Riga and Vilnius "
Really enjoyed the tour! Thanks so much to our awesome guide, Laurynas! He was very knowledgable and funny and helped make the tour a great day. Much better doing this than just taking a normal coach etc
"Gloomy weather but still a shiny tour"
Camile our tour guide made up for the gloomy, rainy, cold and windy weather by being the most cheerful tour guide i've ever experienced. It was more like having a conversation with a friend more than being with a tour guide during our tour. She really made us feel at home and we enjoyed our trip!
"Best way to get between the cities, totaly worth 12 hours of your time! "
I hate getting frustrated and in general that's why I put my expectations so low about everything. When I saw a 12 hours tour stuck with strangers I thought: man, that's going to be either a total crap or a exhausting experience. My thoughts were wrong, that was an AMAZING experience! And I would say, the success was solely thanks to our guide driver: Laura was is her name (make sure you get the pronunciation correct mate). But to give you a brief explanation about my day: When she first spoke at like 7:50 AM (so full of energy), I was hangover, with a headache after a big night out with drinks, I thought: This is going to be a DISASTER! But what I thought was going power my irritability (her endless energy) was the biggest blessing of the day. It was by her energy that the trip turned out to be one of the ones I will never forget! She really turned around the wheel and showed the amazing sights between Riga, Vilnius and everything in between with the honesty and passion that only a truly wonderful local would be able to do. If "Traveler Tours" have chosen her to be their driver, trust me and my partner who was with me, they know what they are doing! Be aware readers, to change my mood (I'm such a grumpy person) it's one achievement that It's really rare. I still follow her on insta just to get a glimpse of the amazing places she visits and the endless energy that she emanates. Make sure you get Laura as your driver, but if you don't I'm sure it will be an amazing experience anyway. Also, think about it: the alternative is a bleak cold buss, that goes from city to city bypassing everything in between. I could be telling you about the places I've visited (that you would not visit if you chose the cold and bleak buss). Places that are so unearthly (like the Hill of Crosses) that I would not be able to put down in words. Or I could tell you about the castles, that are stunning (but mostly rebuilt from after war), but I could never explain the memories and the passions built in the stories that our driver did. Thank you so much Laura! <3 Bottom line: If you came to read the reviews it's probably because you are unsure if it's worth your time&money. I've already given you the answer so: there are LIMITED spots, don't waste your time, just book it. By the time you read this might be none left, sorry. To the lonely travelers: best opportunity to make friends!!!
"Fab trip"
Great trip thanks!! Hill of crosses was great. The only thing bad was that the castle was closed.
"Great way to travel from Riga to Vilnius"
Alina, our driver and guide, was very cheerful and active. She had lots of stories and jokes to tell. She drove carefully. The van was spacious and had lots of space for luggage. A bottle of drinking water was provided. The whole tour took 12 hours. I find it too long. One of the reasons was Alina was not very strict with time. Some tourists spent their time as they wanted.
"excellant "
tour and guide were excellent . we completed our 5 places visit 1 hour ago. then we request Laurynas to take us some picturious places in Vilnius. He did . He also help us to get food that we choose. it was a nice experience. best wishes. rashid
"Best way to travel from one city to the other"
Excellent friendly driver/guide. Stopped at all the interesting places between Riga and Vilnius. Ample time and explanation at stops. Lunch stop was at a great hotel. Great job!
"Sensational way to see hidden parts of Latvia and Lithuania "
Alina really made this tour. She was insightful, energetic, knowledgeable and so willing to make sure we had a fabulous time. I wouldn’t have visited these parts of Latvia and Lithuania if I hadn’t done this tour. I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants to travel between the two countries and not sit on a train or bus the whole time. Sensational!
"Great Experience"
We recently visited the Baltic countries of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. We organized our own itinerary but used Traveller Tours to get us from one country to the next. We arrived in Tallinn, Estonia a day earlier to visit the city. The next day, Traveller Tours took us from Tallinn to Riga, Latvia. We spent the next day, visiting Riga ourselves. The following day, we continued our Traveller Tour to Vilnius, Lithuania. The following day, we included the city guided Vilnius tour in our visit. Traveller Tours is a great way to see the Baltic countryside visiting may sites you wouldn’t see otherwise. Our drivers, Camille and La..were friendly, and enthusiastic guides. They were knowledgeable of the past and present history of their countries. A lot of this history was told to them by their grandparents who experienced WW II. Traveller Tours is giving international tourists the opportunity to visit this part of the world in a small group experience. Guides: Kamilie to Riga, Laurynas to Vilnius
"Highly recommended "
The guider is really enjoying what he is doing that where the naturality as a guider. The best way for Riga-Vilnius while stopping at places to go with details explanation of the places and country.
"Great day, awesome guide"
This day trip lets you discover so much of these amazing countries that you would never know if you only visited the capital cities. The Baltic countries are all beautiful and unique, with a complex history and so many interesting sites to explore. This day trip gives you a taste for all of it - sobering war camps, beautiful gardens, (tasty) reindeer farms, the awesome hill of crosses, and even sunset over the castle at Trakai. But enough about the countries - the real highlight was the tour guide. Imagine a viking crossed with a teady-bear, and then topped with a playful sense of humour and a deep, honest interest in everyone he meets. Oh, and did I mention he sometimes gives you chocolate? Laurynas made the trip fun, educational, and inspiring. His passion for the Baltic countries, and their history, was entirely contagious. Also, he has really good taste in music playlists! I can't recommend this tour and the company any more highly - just book it!
"Fun and interesting Riga to Vilnius trip. "
This was a great way to travel from Riga to Vilnius. Although 12 hours sounded like a long day, it went surprisingly quickly. This was certainly helped by our knowledgeable and friendly driver (Lau), his good sense of humour and excellent choice of road trip music! Our stops were all interesting and lunch was also well priced and tasty. Traveller Tours were also quick to reply to email and booking enquires. I highly recommend this company and their tours.
"The best way to travel from Riga to Vilnius! "
This was the ideal way to get to know more about the two countries, see some of the iconic sites and get from A to B. Laurynas brought history to life and took very good care of us. So we were well looked after, had a nice lunch (the apple pie is much recommended!) and altogether a very good time together.
"Learned a lot, great guide "
We had a fantastic day, full of information and impresessions, Lau is not only a great guide but also fun and a good driver. Best way to get from Rīga to Vilnius if interested in more than just having a transfer. Ah, lunch was delicious as well. Loved the little chocolates, Lau, thanks!
"Loved it - great way to get between cities! "
As with most people, I opted to take this tour to see a bit of the countryside of Latvia / Lithuania rather than take the direct bus route. Overall, the tour was great - well paced (we left and arrived on time, and the guide made sure we had ample opportunity to see sites), great information at each stop, and plenty of time to explore independently after the initial introduction to the site. Really enjoyed it!
"Excellent, convenient trip stopping at several major sites!"
I was so happy to discover this tour offering. Being able to not only transfer efficiently between Riga and Vilnius, but at the same time make 5 stops at tourist highlights I had wanted to visit anyway, was really great! This is especially true because some places (like Hill of Crosses) are not that easy to get to by public transportation. In general visiting all these places would have taken me at least two days, so this was really an efficient and stress-free way to travel. Our guide was excellent -- engaging, open, full of information not only on the sites but also on life and current events in the Baltics overall. The small group design of the tour as well as the super reasonable price were awesome as well. This is a highly recommended tour and company. (In fact, I wanted to do some of their other tours organized in Lithuania, but unfortunately at this time of year there is limited availability because of relatively few tourists). I'll definitely consider the Talinn-Riga and other tours with Traveller Tours the next time I am in the region!!!!
"Fun"
This is a great tour to travel from Riga to Vilnius as we saw many important attractions along the way. It's a great way to meet other travellers from all over the world as we had 5 nationalities among the 8 of us! Laura was lots of fun to be with and was very kind to have dropped us off at our lodging. Highly recommend this tour.
"Start as strangers end as a little family"
Travelled from Riga to Vilnius in September 2018 with Kamille. Would definitely recommend this tour transfer. The stops to driving ratio was good and although I would love to have stayed longer in some places it isn't possible without making it an over long day. However because my time in the area was limited it at least meant I saw some pretty great sights. My travelling companions were lovely, a group if strangers who ended the day as a little family on the bus
"It is the highlight of our trip! "
I am glad that such a wonderful idea with one way travel is created by this company. The itinerary is well planned that covered most of the interesting sites, like the round Palace and the hill of the crosses, the Trakai castle island and Kaunas. All in one day! You save a lot of time and money. The guide, Laura, is very professional and full of enthusiastic in telling us about the history background of the sites. We had a great time and good weather. I really recommend this tour to everyone! It worth the money!
"Enjoyable tour with lots of sites."
Really enjoyed the tour and learnt alot about Latvia and Lithuania.
"Great way to get from Riga to Vilnuis"
We had such a good tour from Riga to Vilnius. Our driver/ guide was excellent. He was knowledgeable about the sites and history. He made the trip a lot of fun and he had a great sense of humour. Also he was a very safe driver.
"Alinaaaa amaaaaazing!!!!"
Omg. So much to say!! Alina?? Or Alona? A lithuanian chick was our tour guide. Totally hilarious and friendly!!! I kept getting lost on private walks but she was my hero!!!
"Great way to see more of the countries"
This was a great way to see more of the countries. The tour guide gave some good personal stories and there was a good mix of personal time vs. being guided at the stops. The vans are comfortable. Overall I would highly recommend the tour to others
"Interesting and enjoyable "
The bus took us from Riga to Vilnius with stops at points of interest along the way. First stop was at Salaspils memorial, that opened up a whole area of history to us and was very moving. We’d have liked longer here to see more of the museum. The next stop was Rundale Palace, a stunning surprise with gardens to rival Versailles. We had lunch at a restaurant offering traditional Lithuanian food, with venison on the menu and limited vegetarian options. The Hill of Crosses in North Lithuania is surely unique; we saw two bridal parties there and our guide explained the custom. After that was Lithuania’s second city, Kaunas; we could have done with less time here. Final stop was the really beautiful Trakai, It was a fine evening and a stroll was welcome, unfortunately the castle was closing so we couldn’t go in. Some people sampled a famous local pastry speciality. Our guide Kamile was excellent, engaging, knowledgeable and with first rate English. All in all, we’d highly recommend this tour to anybody who wants to learn about life in the three Baltic states, past and present.
"Day Trip Riga to Livnius"
This was an excellent day stopping at 5 very interesting sites along the way.
"Brief and quite interesting"
It was run nicely and professionally by th guide whose name I can’t remember right now. We saw interesting places and everything went nice and smooth. The guide is professional and ready to answer to the questions I had. The only thing is the restaurant stop: I would change that restaurant, the entire personnel was frozen with no emotion towards customers. The weitress was extremely distant and did the basic.
"Best way to travel"
We couldn't have asked for a better day day. The sights we visited were fascinating (especially the Hill of Crosses), the countryside interesting and our guide informative. Would highly recommend this tour.
"Best Way to Get to Vilnius"
It didn't seem like a long day but we left Riga easily and after stopping at monuments, castles with lakes and gardens, then the Hill of Crosses arriving in Vilnius for dinner made for an easy, stress-less day. Great experience especially with our driver/guide Adams ability to keep a rapid pace through the day.
"What a great adventure!"
I was so glad to have found this company. My original plan was just for a quick an easy way to get from Riga to Vilnius. The opportunity to combine it with a sightseeing tour along the way was fantastic. Got to visit a lot of places I wouldn't have been able to see on my own. Highly recommended!
"Exceptional, truly the best!"
The best tour you could ask for. Our tour guide was passionate, knowledgeable, personable and oh so thoughtful and kind. The sites we stopped at were terrific with enough time to explore after our guides explanation. He provided so much fun and the group of 8 were so happy with the entire day. Over the years we have gone on a number of tours, but this young man stood out above all others.
"Awesome way to get from Riga - Vilnius "
This is a great way to get from Riga to Vilnius! Our guides, Anna and Laurynas, did an amazing job. They were friendly. personable and knowledgeable. I highly recommend checking this tour out if you are traveling thru the Baltic's.
"Excellent transit between two countries"
Adam was safe-driving, interesting in his explications, open to questions and suggestions, and well in time for the arrival
"Highly recommended ! "
Perfect way to travel from Riga to Vilnius with multiple stops in between to go to places in the middle of no where / without easy access with public transport. Our guide Alina was super fun and informative about everything.
"Tour stops at all the important places between Riga and Vilnius"
We saw everything we wanted to see. We had 8 tourists in a 9 passenger van. It was great. Another van with 8 more was with another driver and van from same company. Our guide was excellent. He was from Lithuania and spoke excellent English. He drove carefully as well. It would be nice to spend a little more time at some places, but if you did you’d get into Vilnius even later than 9:15, like we did. If it left at 8:00am, you’d miss the museam at Salispils. In the end, it was the perfect tour. We saw what we wanted to see. We got from Riga to Vilnius. And, the value of the trip was very good. I seriously recommend it.
"Laura, the best guide ever!"
The trip itself was very interesting, but Laura with her gags and her simpathy added something more. PERRRFETTO!!
"Nice trip"
Places were intersting, guides were smart and professional at the same time. An excellent way to travel. Highly recommended!
"Anna is fantastic guide!!"
She is very nice and smile...beautiful trip!!
"Great tour"
Awesome tour that was well worth the money. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. She also dropped us off at our hotels which was very nice of her. Thank you!
"Very nice and relaxing "
Very pleasend experience with a good guide. Visited interesting places in the countryside
"Great way to travel from Riga to Vilnius"
While this leg offers a little less than the Tallinn-Riga leg in terms of the itinerary, Mike was an amazing guide and made the trip super enjoyable through his stories of the Latvian culture. We had nice conversations about our mutual traditions, cultures, people - way off the playbooks if I might add - which gave the trip a warm little touch. The sightseeing tour is a great way to visit places that don't usually fall on people's itineraries, as well as a great way to relate to the histories of both the states.
"Enjoyable Tour"
We are a couple with a small kid and have joined the private tour from Tallinn to Sigulda. Our guide, Trinn, is a very attentive person and had taken care all the need of us, especially for the kid. We have visited the recommended spots to feel the natural environment of Estonia and Lativa. She has also explained a lot the history and society of Estonia which let us have a more clear understanding of the region. We do have plenty of chatting on whatever we are interested and have enjoyed a great day. She had also shared her childhood life which made us fond of the living here and we especially thanks for telling us to pick the natural blueberries. We do recommend to join the tour to see and feel the Baltic area.
"Perfect"
A perfect way to go from Riga to Vilnius and seeing many interesting sites you wouldn't see without a private car. 5 stops, max 8 people, a comfortable bus and a guide for 12 hours for 55 euros is really a good offer. Our guide Adam was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Really a good choice!
"Fantasitc"
It was fantastic. Lau, our guide is very friendly.
"Excellent tour"
It was an excellent way of travelling from Riga to Vilnius with this tour rather than taking a direct transfer. Our guide Laura was exceptional! She provided high quality information about the region in a very entertaining and energetic way. She has also created a very warm and friendly environment for all tour participants. I would recommend this tour to anybody who would like not to miss the nice spots between these two cities.
"Excellent program. Educative and exciting"
The locations we visited were far from the main cities and would have probably been missed if it wasn't for this tour. the stops not only contained a beautiful scenery, but also great stories that will let you get a deep insight into the country, especially with a guide so enthusiastic and proud of her culture.
"Best way to travel between cities"
We had a fantastic day out with the added bonus of getting to our final destination (Vilnius). The 5 stops are very interesting and Karolis, our guide was very knowledgable about both countries - his passion is Lithuania though ;) He pointed out interesting things on the way and we had the added bonus that he is a biologist who knows much about the flora and fauna. The small group suited us perfectly and we had fun!! I can recommend Karolis - safe driver and a fun guide.
"fantastic trip and best guide/driver/animator LAURA"
My husband and I travelled from Riga to Vilnius with sightseeing bus and our guide was Laura. We mostly travel without a group but we did not want to drive or use bus and see a bit more on Latvia and Lithuania. We got more than we expected. Laura answered all our questions on both countries. We had a nice lunch on our way. We had fantastic time, and what is more insider tips of Vilnius. I got this tour via internet and they were true proffessionals on time and well informed. The tour from Tallinn to Riga was full 20 days ago. Be sure to book well in advance. Thank you again Laura for this incredible trip.
"Energetic, lively, and informative! "
Laura is such a fun tour guide! Her great personality truly made the tour extra special! She was engaging and her information made the history of Latvia and Lithuania come alive. We (my daughter and I) highly recommend these tours for the Baltic’s as this was our second time traveling with them and we had a wonderful experience both times. They really know how to pick warm-hearted and energetic guides! So happy to have met Laura!
"Perfect when you have only a few days"
Our guide Laurynas was perfect : he’s genuinely a good person who is dedicated to his work and very competent. People who were with me were very nice as well. I finally came back to Trakai by myself (it’s only 2 euros by bus from Vilnius) just to swim in the lake and it was lovely. So if Laurynas invites you to do it at the end of the trip, don’t hesitate, I definitely support you to do it in case you won’t have time to go back later. I was to shy and I regret it. Good luck to our guide in his future and all the people I shared this tour with.
"Adventurous inter-city bus tour!"
I found this an exciting way to travel between Riga and Vilnius, it is a long day, but an adventurous alternative to a standard bus trip between cities! It's also an opportunity to cover multiple sights in one day, that you may otherwise need to visit on individual day trips from your base once there. Our guide was very energetic and engaging, passionate about the history behind these countries and the sights we visited, full of interesting stories and anecdotes which add to the experience! There were plenty of stops along the way, so you never feel as though you're stuck in the car for very long, and a lunch break too which was a late change due to the first choices being booked, but a great authentic restaurant in a beautiful countryside setting.
"The best way to go from Riga to Vilnius"
This tour was one of the best parts of my holiday. Great sights on the way from Riga to Vilnius, fantastic guide, learned lots, and the others in the group were great fun. Special thanks to our guide Laurynas - you made us laugh so much whilst also teaching us so much. Thank you! Highly recommended.
"The BEST way to get from Riga to Vilnius!!"
This tour was an incredible way to see sites outside the capital cities and learn more about the culture and history from a local guide. Speaking of, Laura was AWESOME! She is super passionate about the region and was a joy to spend the day with. The sites were all unique, and I’m very glad that the tour made it simple and enjoyable to visit all of these great places. I highly recommend this tour!
"Great trip with our great guide Karolis"
The tour from Riga to Vilnius was simply superb. Our guide Karolis was very knowledgeable and interpersonal and we were very happy with his company. Thank you, Karolis!
"Awesome tour "
Wow we had a great time- we really enjoy our tour bus trip! The guide was excellent and made the trip a memorable experience - he was knowledgeable, funny and genuinely friendly guy. The drive was long but he made it fun. We have seen some really beautiful sights and fell in love in the Baltic history and culture. Would definitely recommend this to anyone and we are really happy we booked it:) and based on that experience we hopefully book again!
"Perfecto "
The best way to travel from here to there. My Lithuanian friends were very impressed with all that we had seen and done. A great introduction to Latvia and Lithuania with a fun commentary by our guide Laura
"A great way to immerse in the culture of these 2 countries"
First of all, our guide Laura was this energetic and enthusiastic girl, always concerned about all the passengers' needs. Then, she really could transmit her pride to be both Lithuanian and a citizen of the Baltic. The spots we visited showed us some of the history and architecture of Latvia and Lithuania. On the bus, everybody loved it. And that includes my 9-year-old daughter.
"Best way to come from Riga to Vilnius"
Very nice tour with interesting stops (hill of crosses) and many facts about the history of Latvia and Lithuania.
"Superb value tour"
Wow! This is the way to travel between Riga and Vilnius and see the important sights. Our guide Adam gave us an excellent commentary regarding each of the sights, and filled us in with background material regarding Latvia and Lithuania. It was a long day but excellent value - would highly recommend this tour.
"Tour Riga Vilnius"
Anna and the other guide are very kind and they told us a lot of the history about Latvia and Lithuania. The places that we have visited are very interesting sites.
"Great tour, great value for money "
Super nice tour guide, very friendly. Great way to see the south of Latvia and north of Lithuania without going through the hassle of renting a car and everything. I would just say that maybe give a little more time to take pictures and walk around would be a plus but apart from that really great tour
"Carpool karaoke through the Baltics"
Our wonderful guide, Laurynas, made the day memorable, fun and informative. He provided helpful information at each stop and answered questions fully. He has a passion for Baltic history and pride in his native country of Lithuania. At the very beginning, he had each of us introduce ourselves -- which helped him learn our names and also helped us learn the names of our fellow travelers. We appreciated his candy treats, humor and constant attention to making sure that everyone was doing well and enjoying the day. After he discovered that we all liked music, he took requests during lunch and downloaded songs for the next part of the drive. What a memorable trip singing along with new friends to our favorite songs! Once in Vilnius, he made sure we all reached our lodging places without worry. Laurynus is one of the best guides I've experienced, and I've been fortunate to travel to many countries and places across the United States. He's a keeper!
"You're in good hands"
Lau was one of the most engaging, attentive, and hilarious tour guides we've ever had! Like the other tours with this company, he made the Riga to Vilnius trip lively with personalized stories, but what sets him apart are the treats (several local candies and pastries) and dropping us off to our hotels/AirBnB. He also noticed that one tire was low in air, which he quickly discovered was a flat. He found a local auto mechanic, and we were on our way again in 30 minutes! This tour is well worth the extra time and money.
"Misadventures of a Great Adventure."
Well to be honest there was only one misadventure which turned the trip in to and even better one, considering the circumstances. Lao (that's how it sounded and I saw another reviewer spell his name this way) was amazing. SUPER knowledgeable of the sights and areas we went to. Even if he wasn't telling us true stories (which i'm sure he was, because who doesnt believe Americans were the first people to settle in Riga) he told his stories with conviction, which is all i needed. No fake news here. Keep in mind this was a VERY HOT day, so he always made sure we stayed hydrated. Sadly when we were about to leave Kaunas, he did discover the van running low on air pressure and when we went to fill it up, the air didn't hold. BUT, Lao immediately got on the phone and started searching for repair shops and thankfully he found one just a couple blocks away. At the shop we all waited patiently as the tire was getting repaired (30min) which gave the tour group some bonding time. Which was good fun getting to know everyone's story. We had 2 Swedish doctors looking for the New Viagra, 2 teachers from the Netherlands just trying to escape their students, a mother and daughter from Taiwan who were probably on a bonding spirit quest, a young lady from Singapore who just wanted to do all the fun things forbidden in Singapore and not suffer the consequences of corporal punishment, and then ME, the future president of the United States. =) This delay made our timing to Trakai castle Perfect for sunset. Which was one of the bonuses. Also because of the delay, Lao treated us to a traditional Lithuanian....food thing, not sure what it was called but after i ate the first one i ordered 4 more. Also on the way back, since none of us had to be back at any particular time, we took a quick trip to the Hill of Angles, Amazing sight. And of course finally, Lao dropped all of us off at our respective sleeping locations...ohh yeah and we also got chocolates. Good people are hard to find these days. The group i was with seemed like all good people. Great people are even harder to find, and Loa is one of them. Highly recommend this trip, and any of the other Baltic trips this company has to offer. And if you get a chance to have Lao as your driver, you'll be in for most informative, adventurous journey, with treats. =) -Leo
"Informative and Caring"
I loved this tour. I'm back in Canada a couple of weeks later and the tour is still quite vivid for me. The sites were interesting and the guide was informative. We had a family of five with small children and the guide was always solicitous of their comfort and helped the parents with handling the gear that their infants needed. To cap it all off, at the end of the tour he drove them right to their hotel in Vilnius so that they would have to worry about trying to find it on their own in a strange city with small children. Great job!
"Loved My Second Tour with Tallinn Traveller"
I took both the Tallinn-Riga and now the Riga-Vilnius tour, and they were both excellent! Mikelis was a terrific guide and a safe driver. He is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of the Baltic States. The 12 hours fly by with wondeful stops and great stories. I highly recommend this experience!
"Definitely Recommended"
Took this tour from Riga to Vilnius. I highly recommend this tour if you are traveling to Vilnius (or opposite direction). All of the sites we saw were great. I have to say that we didn't get enough time at some places, and maybe a little too much in other places, but I think that is just personal preference and the tour is great for getting to see all of the sites, along with places I didn't know about before hand. I would give the tour guide 6 stars if that were possible here!
"Sightseeing bus tour from Riga to Vilnius"
This 12 hour bus tour is professionally planned and executed, starting and finishing on time, with no feeling of being rushed. The 5 places we stopped at are carefully selected to give a mixture of castle garden, history, religion, the soviet period, and a beautiful town and castle by the lakes. The guide and driver (nick named Lao as we probably would spell his proper name wrong) is knowledgeable and entertaining, as well as a safe driver. The van is clean and super comfortable, with air cond a relief from this summer's heat wave. Lots of room for luggage of 8 guests in the back. Great alternative to flight or train or coach. Highly recommended for its terrific value!!
"Fun day from Riga to Vilnius "
This was a great way to learn and see that Latvia and Lithuania are more than the two capitals. Lau was a great guide; enthusiastic, personable, and knowledgeable. Even though we were running a late, he didn’t rush us through all the things he wanted to show us. Despite the late hour, he took us to our hotels in Vilnius too. Great service!
"Interesting and entertaining day tour!"
The tour is a great chance to get to know locations he wouldn´t have seen otherwise. It was touching to visit Salaspils Memorial and to hear the heartbeat. It was nice to see the storks on the roofs of Rundale palace, impressive to count the thousands of crosses in Siauliai, interesting to walk through the streets of Kaunas. The highlight was Trakai castle and the Karaites´ houses and Kibinai! Thank you, Lau for this great day!
"Great informative and fun tour"
The tour is quite intense (12 hours - most of the objectives are not exactly on the main road) and it’s fully worth doing it. Alina is a great guide, who provided lots of interesting facts and useful tips (she also drives very safely). We enjoyed esp. the Trakai area where we returned for a full day experience.
"Laura steals the show!"
Laura was an amazing tour guide. She had so much energy and passion for the sites and Lithuania. it made our tour even more exciting and engaging. We were able to ask any questions and she was very informative about the sites. The sites were great and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Laura even gave us a private audition for her upcoming stardom at Eurovision!
"A good Guide makes a great Tour!"
We took the tour from Riga to Vilnius. While we would have preferred a bit more of free time to explore Kaunas and Trakai, Lau, the guide, was so knowledgeable, so entertaining and nice that it was absolutely worth joining the tour! We learnt a lot and enjoyed Lau's sense of humour. Highly recommendable.
"A tour of a lifetime!!"
Definitely worth taking the tour! AlIna took us through the otherwise difficult to reach towns and was very informative!!
"Great tour"
The best way to travel through the Baltics and see more than only the capitals. Alina was a great guide! She told a lot of information and was good fun to spend the day with. In hindsight, we should have done the Tallinn-Riga your as well...
"Nice trip"
Guide was very friendly and had a lot informatins
"A great way to travel from Riga to Vilnius"
A good way to see things between Riga and Vilnius you would otherwise have to do as side trips. Our guide Laura, was great. A bubbly personality and the ability to provide the background and history of the things we saw without it becoming to dry. A pleasure to spend the day with her.
"Brilliant way to transfer"
We did both transfer tours - Tallinn to Riga then Riga to Vilnius. I wish this mode of transfer was available everywhere! It was so nice to see more of the countryside as we moved between cities - it would be impossible to put together these itineraries on our own without a car. Both of the guides were very knowledgeable and professional. The stops were well chosen, the pacing was good, and both tours offered a very nice selection for lunch (additional cost but not expensive). Highly recommend.
"Laura’s Magical, Musical, Magnicent Bus Trip!"
Laura brings 110% of herself to making sure her guests are happy. It works. Our ride from Riga to Vilnius was filled with fascinating stories, beautiful stops, wonderful walks and an awesome lunch. We’d go back to Riga just for the ride!
"Outstanding Tour With Triin"
WeI had the pleasure of spending 11+ hours with wonderful Triin during our Riga to Vilnius tour on 18 July. Because we wanted sightseeing convenience, we opted to book a private tour. In hindsight, we are extremely glad we did and think that the outstanding services Triin provided us were well worth the additional cost. Triin was charming, energetic, flexible, and informative. Overall, we thought the stops included in the Riga-Vilnius tour were well-paced and offered an excellent overview of the key sights between those two fantastic cities. (We must mention that we loved Tallinn as well, given that Triin is Estonian.) Our heartiest thanks to the Triin and her Traveller team for a job well-done!!!
"Best way to travel from Riga to Vilnius"
If you have the time, don't hesitate to book this trip, it will be an amazing day. It takes about 12 hours to get from Riga to Vilnius, but along the way you get to see a lot of very beautiful places, full of history, some marked with sadness and tears while others with joy and great stories. Lau was an amazing guide, driver and companion. He was funny when he had to, thoughtful and serious when he had to, while all the time he kept sharing with us the troubled yet inspiring history of Latvia and Lithuania. Hats off to him, he was remarkable! All in all, a day to remember from our trip through the Baltics.
"Great trip with a great guide"
Alina was a very pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful and fun guide. She exceeded my expectations. I was a bit hesitant to take small group tours such as these but it was a great decision in the end. The travel was very smooth, not rushed, well-explained and well organized. Special thanks to Alina who really showed passion about about her job; meeting other people, showing her lovely country Lithuania, and telling wonderful stories that made the places much more alive and meaningful. The van was a comfortable vehicle and those in the group were nice and fun too. I enjoyed the trip much. I highly recommend this travel company and their lovely guide. It was a great experience at a very affordable price.
"Great tour!"
If you don’t have a car but you still want to see important spots from Riga to Vilnius this is your tour!
"Intelligent way to travel"
Go with the flow
"good"
The travel was good. Thank you Alex.
"Terrific tour that also gets you from A to B!"
Lau was very engaging. He knew his stuff and we learnt a lot about Lithuania and Latvia. Can't praise him enough. Having local guides share their own insights makes these Tours wonderful. We had Anna for the previous one and she was also doing this trip with us in another vehicle. They both are amazing. They had their areas of specialty with one being Lithuanian and the other Latvian. The tours enabled us to see places we wouldn't have been able to see if we had just caught the regular bus. A two in one experience, getting from A to B and sightseeing too. I'll recommend you to anyone I know heading this way.
"A fun, memorable day traveling to Vilnius! "
I've done so many tours while traveling but so far this one [Riga-Valnius] was the best, mainly thanks to our wonderful, enthusiast and experienced guides, Anna & Laurynas. The two of them made a long day go by quickly and enjoyable. They took us to various memorable/historic places, explained at depth the significance of each place we stopped during the trip and more. I really enjoyed the day and I'm so glad I chose to do the tour instead of taking a bus to Vilnius as I had already planned. Thank you again, Anna & Laurynas, you guys rock!
"Brilliant tour"
Our guide was Karolis who we also had on tour from Tallinn to Riga so knew we would be well looked after and he would be informative about history and culture. We set off promptly with five other travellers from other continents, besides myself and my partner. The others’ lives and backgrounds were very interesting to listen to which made the trip more enjoyable. We stopped at a memorial, then a palatial garden, the previous capital of Lithuania, the Hill of Crosses and finally Trakai Castle early evening. We walked around the exterior of the castle which we accessed crossing bridges as it is surrounded by water. Beautiful place which Karolis knew well. Lunch was at an equestrian centre where we saw horses being ridden. Food was preordered and good quality and reasonably priced. It was a lovely tour and would thoroughly recommend, great guide too.
"Passionate guides"
We had Anna and Laura as our guides as we joined two tours. Both are young, enthusiastic and passionate about their job and share more about their country with you, which makes the trip worth it. Laura even took us to our hotels as it was raining heavily in Vilnius.
"Dealing with chickens"
Your driver/guide tried so hard to deal with passengers who SHOULD have taken the bus. ALL over 60 years. ALL convinced that they were entitled to ignore Lau’s expertise. SO kind of him to ignore their lack of world awareness. Lau knows (and APPRECIATES) Lithuanian history and culture. As he understands his role as a spokesperson for Baltic culture, maybe he can command “Silence” so that the rest of us can learn from his knowledge and LOVE of this beautiful country.
"Best way to see sights from Riga & Vilnius "
Excellent small group tour which took us to places we didn’t know existed eg the Hill of Angels. Our guide Lau was terrific - Lau gave good, clear summaries of the history and made it fun to listen. Nothing was a problem for Lau - he arranged lunch (including special requests), changed his format to suit, and even found us in our hotel to return glasses we left on the bus after the tour was over - thankyou Lau!! We were apprehensive booking the tour from home before we left but found it to be very professional and on time. Highly recommend this tour as it’s an economical way to see many sights particularly if you have limited time in the area.
"Excellent Journey Between Latvia and Lithuania"
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip between Latvia and Lithuania. Our tour guide was enthusiastic and engaging. The stops were fantastic (Trakai was so awesome we went back for a day trip!). If you are looking for a way to go from Latvia and Lithuania, this is a great option. The only negative on this trip was the size and condition of the mini-van. The van really only fits 7 people, and we had 8 in our group. Also, the van was not as clean as I would have expected.
"Understand more as you travel"
Alina was waiting with the bus even though we were early, a good sign we thought. The tour was well organised and we enjoyed the visits to different sites. Alina added to our enjoyment and understanding by recounting her family’s Lithuanian and Jewish history. Thoroughly recommended.
"Great"
Anna was our guide. She told us about the history of Lithuania, showed us Kaunas, Trakai castle. She offered to take us direct to our accommodation in Vilnius which is much appreciated. In all, We enjoyed this day trip. We all recommend this tour to our friends. We offered her free coffee in return and tipped.
"Insightful Roadtrip"
Alex, our guide and driver extraordinaire was most knowledgeable and fun to be with.
"Tolle Möglichkeit von Riga nach Vilnius zu kommen"
Vor allem wenn man ohne Auto unterwegs ist, ist diese Tour eine tolle Möglichkeit von Riga nach Vilnius zu kommen und dabei noch einiges von beiden Ländern zu sehen und etwas zur Geschichte zu hören. Die Stops sind nicht zu kurz oder zu lange und die 12 Stunden vergehen insgesamt wie im Flug. Würde die Tour daher umbedingt jedem empfehlen :-)
"Exceeded my expectations"
I think this is the best way to tour around Baltic countries Our tour guide was Alex from Vilnius.
"An excellent way to travel from Riga to Vilnius"
👍👍👍😄😄😄 Triin, is an excellent guide, very lively and knowlegable, always ready to help and to tell us all we want to know about the 3 Baltic states. We also met Mikus who was jovial and helpful. We had a good time. Thank you very much.
"Nice Cultural Experience"
My wife and I recently took a tour from Riga to Vilnius and enjoyed the experience. I liked the locations chosen for the tour, and the 6 hour ride was broken up nicely into manageable pieces, where a typical Riga to Vilnius trip might have been less pleasant. Our tour guide was quite new and could have been a bit more engaging during the driving portions of the trip, but I'm sure that will come with time.
"Road trip - Riga to Vilnius"
We were four travelers and Triin and became friends by the end. She was great in informing us of the different places we visited along with a great stop for lunch. We visited the Palace that the mini-series War & Peace was filmed, then my favorite, the Hill of Crosses. What a mind-boggling site of so many crosses in one place. The lunch stop was fantastic. Then the stop at the former capital of Lithuania and Triin was good in providing a quick summary of the history. I had a quick coffee and chocolates at the Chocolateria. Then the castle on the lake. I can’t remember all the names of the places but I do remember what I see and what I felt. Thanks to Triin for a wonderful road trip.
"Fantastic Tours"
We took the 12 hour trips between Tallinn and Riga and then between Riga and Vilnius. Both days were enjoyable and informative with excellent guides Olga and Triin. Whether stopping at historic castles, nature parks, monuments and museums, or even for lunch, our guides enthusiastically shared local folklore, personal stories, and knowledge of the Baltics. Seeing a little more of the Baltic countries outside of the capitals was a refreshing change as it is mostly gorgeous countryside with farms, forests, wildflowers, and storks! Don't look at any other tour operator because with Traveller Tours you've found the best!
"Very poor quality"
The tour itself was well organized, but Kamile the tour guide managed to gave me a very negative vibe. Yes, I am coming from Eastern Europe (Romania) but so is she (Lithuania). I saw a dog alone close to Vilnius and I asked her if Vilnius has stray dogs and she told me: Not as many as Bucharest and she also made some other undermining comments about Romania. I don’t need to be put down by a tour guide that I paid for a service. I arrived in Vilnius feeling very sad and humiliated also. And not to mention the little car accident on the way when she made space for a car from the lateral side but forgot about the car behind us, she stopped the car too fast for the car behind us to have time to react so the car behind us hit us, no one got injured but I got very scared since I am recovering after an ankle sprain.
"Very good tours with good guides"
In June I made three tours, Riga-Tallinn, Lahemaa National Park and Riga-Vilnius. I can recommend all three tours, they were really interesting and we saw a lot of things I didn´t read in a travelguide. Especially Riga-Vilnius was very interesting and we saw a lot interesting places. The staff is very helpful, Isabel answered all my mails very quickly. And Triin is an awesome tour guide. She told the history of Estonia very emotional with a very private character and she told us examples from her own family about the suffering time before Independence. The guides of the other tours were also good, but Triin was phenomenal.
